In short: Challenging but worthwhile race In full: I've run one or two races in Sussex (inc Beachy Head) and I've always found them far more interesting than the average road race. This was no exception, with plenty of hills and lots of mud thrown in for good measure. I didn't anticipate the latter but its something to be mindful of next year if it rains a lot.
The course is scenic and has some punishing hills. Its also fairly tight in the first mile or so, so if you want to push on try to get a good start.
The marshals were great and there was a good amount of bananas, jelly babies, biscuits and drinks at the aid stations. I also really enjoyed the home made cakes at the end.
Oh, and there was plenty of space for parking too.
All in all, its well worth doing, but make sure you get some hill training in beforehand. Date of review: May 6, 2012
