In short: Odd course, terrible finish area
In full: Great starting area with plenty of loos and space to relax. Route was okay, but not great running past the finishing post before the half way point!

Some narrow parts later on, a section through a farm, which was dodgy underfoot, and one hell of a wind tunnerl for the last 4-miles (I know it's not the organisers' fault really).

Finish area just rubbish. Not great for runners, but I think worse still for spectators not being able to watch the finish.

In short: A must for all runners who want to have some fun.
In full: Did my first Grim today, and loved every minute of it!!! I usually only enter 'serious' races so today was something very different for me - and I had a ball. The course is great, loads of very deep mud and water to cross, some hills but they're not too difficult, and loads of laughs when people fall head first into the freezing water! I'll certainly be there next year!

In short: A nice change from the big city races. Good potential for a PB
In full: Yesterday was my 4th marathon and first away from a big city. I loved the scenery but felt the atmosphere was a little dull, particularly on the second loop when the crowds thinned. The busy roads with queuing traffic, sitting with their engines on didn't help much. There was plenty of water stations but only one isotonic drink station at mile 20(?), which I think is far too late in the run to refuel. Would probably do it again.

In short: A couple of hills are there to kill, but great to survive!
