In short: very good pb course but weather too hot for me In full: Definite pb potential if conditions right but way too hot for me. Start area is a bit too congested but once going no real problems with course. As some have said impatient motorists trying to drive through the middle of race was annoying and potentially dangerous. Well manned and numerous water stations. For those who don't like using plastic cups me included) run with a bottle. There were water tanks at stations where you could refill. Great finish area in market square. Date of review: August 10, 2009

2009 GDF Suez Leeds Half-Marathon

In short: Challenging but worth the effort In full: Last ran this in 2007 and organisation does seem to have improved. As others have said more and better organised drink stations (sponges too) and some of bottlenecks have been reduced if not entirely eliminated. Having just 1 lane on ring road not entirely satisfactory but difficult to see council closing entire road. My major quibble would be on position of mile markers which seemed all over the place. One of the best finishes around though past the Town Hall and into Milennium Square where there is plenty of room. Date of review: May 11, 2009
