In short: Will do it again - but then I live in Derby and its a good cause!
In full: Started near the front so not held up by Sunday Runners - so avoided the start (and finish) problems of last year.
Why not put markers for finish times along the start?
Baggage very poor - lacked any security - just found my own bag and was not challenged, nobody checked number on bag against mine which was covered up by the tee-shirt. Not good if you've come any distance without support. Crime prevention!!

Enough of the gripes! - I really do like the Sporting-Futures shirts. Marshalls were very friendly. Atmosphere good. Weather excellent - who said it was too hot!!

In short: Cold but sunny, good atmosphere. Paths not very wide for most of the route meant very crowded at the start - would benefit from 'finishing timer markers' along the start straight. Very well marshalled.
In full: Well done for the first race. Most aspects worked well. Arrived at 9.15 to find the 'obvious Car Parks (near the Jolly Sailor)full but eventually found Ankerside Shopping Centre Car Park almost empty and actually nearer thans to the pedestrian footbridge into the Castle Pleasure Grounds.
Anticipated breaking 45 mins (hoped for 44) but in the event it was so crowded for the first 2 km that I decided on a fast trainig run (!!) and settled for just over 46 mins.
Good friendly family atmosphere.
Start needs to be much wider (OK, very difficult to do here) or have start line up by start times - wouldn't take much to do this.
Overall, 7/10.
