In short: Well organised, encouraging marshals
In full: This is an excellent race for this time of year. It launches you nicely into the 'long' racing season, and is quite a challenges, with the hills coming regularly. There are plenty of stretches in the race that enable you to get into a good rhythm, and for the second year in a row I enjoyed the experience.

The organisation is good, and the marshals very friendly and encouraging.

The only beef: lack of showers.

In short: I loved running this race: well organised, great route, fantastic support
In full: This race could become very popular indeed. The course is a mixture of village and greenway, with some good views of water at halfway. The 'journey' was much enhanced by the support and the frequency of water and sports drinks was a big plus. A great day.

In short: Fascinating to run around the famous race track a good, fast race, weel organised.
In full: Firstly there is plenty of parking and the toilets facilities are, as you would expect at a big venue, numerous. The Silson Joggers organise the event well and you can concentrate on the running. As this is a race twice round the track the route is a continuous undeviating trip, with no turns and changes of surface, so it's quite unique in that respect. It allows you get into a good rhythm and think about the best line around the bends!

The conditions this year were just about perfect: warmish, dry, no wind.

Although I didn't achieve a pb because of all the long running in my legs it gives a great opportunity for a good time.

A good event....even got interviewed afterwards!!

In short: A fine run up and down the sea front, although it was hard to carry on when the half marathoners finished!
In full: This was a well organised, well marshaled marathon. The course is mainly flat, down south to below the Pleasure Beach, up past the Hilton, north of Bispham, back down to the Hilton and repeat. The repetition was a little hard to keep the motivation going, but the support and fine conditions helped.

Would consider running it again...the course may be different when the sea front improvements are completed. PB too!

In short: Challenging hills, encouraging marshals
In full: This tough, hilly race is perfectly positioned in the year to enable the cranking up to 20 miles and marathon length. Both times I have run it I have been impressed with the good organisation and the friendly marshals. Well done.
