In short: Should have been good but organisation terrible
In full: Appreciate that weather conditions not conducive to Marshalls wanting to be out but not one on a 23k bike course once out of the town?!Running marshalls sent some of us the wrong way and lack of organisation in the pool meant head on collisions. Glad it wasn't my first. Thanks to those marshals that did brave the weather for us, tho.

In short: Great distance for multi terrain winter opener!
In full: Parking problems, dire lack of toilets but worth it for the fantastic scenery. A 6k multi terrain is a fantastic idea - just hilly enough to be challenging whilst being so much more fun than a road race. What views - a positively uplifting way to come out of hibernation!

In short: Wow! extraordinary day
In full: What a race - fabulous scenery, impecable organisation and you felt like an Olympian every time the announcer called you "an athlete"! Tough bike course but good running and just a great event.

In short: Tough but great half. Gloriously scenic.
In full: This is such a great race. It is gloriously pretty and lots of nice long downhills to make up for awful uphills. Three days later quads still havent recovered but well worth it - a perfect summer un

In short: Love this race - the villagers make it very special
In full: Mostly pretty scenery, no killer hills and good marshalling but it is the people in the village (especially the families) who turn out with water and hoses to help in the heat who make it really special. Well worth turning out to this one.

In short: A practically perfect 10K
In full: Really pretty scenery, gentle gradients, tarmac paths, traffic free, nice people, good organisation - does it get any better for a gentle Saturday afternoon out?

In short: Only let down by terrible weather
In full: This would have qualified as "special" in overall summary if weather had not been so awful - sleet and temendous headwind meant full fun of race difficult to appreciate. On a nice spring day it would an absolute delight. Excellent cakes!!

In short: More signs for those at the back please!
In full: First ever fell race - tough but great fun (well the downhills were)and people were really friendly but I was leading the last three home and we had to stop walkers to confirm the way home twice and stop to confer with each other three times - more than a little bit worrying out on Cloud in the cold - more signs please.

In short: Do it again but please change chip system
In full: Great race - organisation excellent and too busy looking at tarmac to notice scenery BUT what about the chip timing - I had finished for over three minutes when some little chap came up with a scanner to take my time! Having achieved much trained for sub 60 mins was not happy to see result on web site. Could we have mat to mat again next year?
