In short: Not impressed... :-(
In full: For as many years as I can remember I have made the trip over the hill from Yorkshire to run this event which is as smooth as clockwork - well organised, good marshalling, flat as a pancake, good facilities etc. This year though, for some reason I had an 11am start in my mind and fortuneately got there and 9.40 thinking I was way too early! Not a good start but hey ho, first lap was uneventful but on the second, some numpty, another runner, decided to jump up onto the pavement where I was running from the road side without looking behind and crashed into me. I ended up flat on my back with the skin off one knee and what turned out to be a broken rib, thanks whoever you are, you didn't even bother stopping and left it to an onlooker to help me, (thanks!). Apart from that, the race was as good as ever and to be recommended, thanks Salford Harriers.

In short: Well organised event
In full: Really well organised event on a flattish scenic course and well marshalled. Only slight gripe was running out of XL tech t-shirt towards the back of the field. Well done the marshalls on a bitterly cold and windy day which did for me on the last mile, well, that and the snow shovelling the previous day... :-) Thanks T&SH.

In short: Excellent course, organisation & marshalls
In full: Echo all that's been said, only dissapointment was that presumably due to the increasing numbers I only got one jaffa cake and no coaster... :-(

A cracking way to start the New Year's racing, not an easy course but well worth the trip over the Pennines - thanks to all at BVR.

In short: Poor show again with the T-shirts
In full: Agree with others, with a few minor improvements this could be a special race, despite the school hall being a bonus there aren't enough toilets and for the last 4 years there haven't been enough L or XL t-shirts left towards the back. I finished in 63 minutes and there were only M left after queuing for nearly 10 minutes. Other races manage to crack the conundrum, just as well I already have a wardrobe full! The marshalls seemed a bit quieter this year as well. Other than that, :-), thanks and see you next year, hopefully I'll get that elusive t-shirt...

In short: As well orgsnised as ever
In full: Loads of parking and excellent facilities at the rugby club. A very slightly undulating course out in the countryside but with the traffic noise from the A63 ever present. Useful commemorative gift at the finish. Some marshalls more encouraging than others. Thanks to the organisers. PS - there was someone stood on the start line asking runners to move behind it...

In short: Two and a bit laps around an industrial estate
In full: Flat and fast but a terribly dull course on a wet day. Well organised, great t-shirt and thanks to the organisers and marshalls but can we have the sea wall bit back please? :-).

In short: Rain, snow and more rain!
In full: Well organised as ever, echo the other compliments, especially for those marshalls/officials out in the lashing rain and snow, sorry I kept you out! Cheers Askern DC.

In short: Flat and fast start to the year
In full: Have to agree with candomust do, it may have been optomistic to leave bottles of water unattended but hey-ho, I didn't hear about the water at the start as I was at the back but do you really need water on a 10k? As far as I know the rules don't require any drinks for less than a 10 mile race and it was hardly a scorcher on Jan 1st. As for runners not completing the course, I did see what was presumably the then lead runner ignore the marshalls and other runners by carrying on straight into town probably rather than follow the rest of us backmarkers turning left. I heard him shout he was on the 2nd lap but to ignore marshalls? Bye bye...

As ever, I enjoyed the run which was well organised, thanks Cleethorpes AC, presumably the knockers don't bother to get involved with organising themselves otherwise they might view things differently. And for once, I got a t shirt that fitted! :-)

In short: Well organised on a PB course
In full: Good pre-race instructions, plenty of parking, good welcome, good base with tea and coffee available and plenty of toilets. Short jog to the start on Mablethorpe prom, free toilet next to start line, race briefing and out and back course with the odd undulation that makes no difference. very good marshalling with at least two of them greeting runners by first name, supportive members of the public, worthwhile goody bag at the finish and back to the MRC base for the t-shirt. Absolutely no complaints at all, nothing but praise so well done Mablethorpe RC, cracking day out at the seaside!

In short: Good first time effort
In full: Apart from lack of toilet facilities already mentioned, there were no XL t-shirts - we're not all slim and speedy! (One hour finisher) Other than that, the goodie bag was fine with a mixture of items apart from the usual sponsors' paperwork. Pre-race information was excellent, good off road parking with one way system on exit, closed roads, fast course, well marshalled in the drizzle! Thanks.
