In short: Just the fact of running from sites of Avebury to Stonehenge makes this a special run.
In full: (Marathon)Very good organisation, with lots of friendly people on drinks stations, and friendly runners on route. The first few miles over the Wansdyke and turfy hills were lovely. The course had more hard surfaces than I expected, and some very rough, stony and undulating tracks over the Plain.Facilities and atmosphere at the finish were really good.It would have been nice if finishers could have had a commemorative technical T-Shirt with the iconic pictures of Avebury & Stonehenge (even available for purchase).

In short: Cold, soggy mudbath, but very enjoyable.
In full: It was a shame the weather was so poor which may account for a small turnout.(I almost did'nt go as there was a blizzard when I woke up!) The course was interesing, and well marshalled, with friendly marshalls.Conditions underfoot were very difficult with deep mud, even deeper puddles, ploughed field, and rough. However it was very enjoyable and I would encourage more people to take part next year, (and hope for warmer weather).

In short: Interesting & varied course-no boring bits.
In full: Challenging and interesting course with lots of potential scenery (when not drizzly and misty!)
Enjoyed first attempt at this kind of thing & will definitely do it again when I have learned to run downhill!
