In short: Great race - lack of supporters made up by autumnal colour.
In full: My first Worksop Half and really enjoyed it. Running on the roads, traffic free was nice and then into Clumber Park was very picturesque. The leaves and twigs falling from the trees in the wind made it a bit more challenging, but lovely running most of the way through the park. The first 4 miles are the hilliest, but not all hills, so not too bad, then the incline into the wind after 11 was tough, but nice to turn and run downhill back into the town to the finish. Extremely well organised race all round, from start to finish. Big thank you to Worksop Harriers, see you next year.

In short: Great scenery, a lovely run with killer hills throughout
In full: My first time running this race - after doing the Sheffield and Leeds Halfs this year and the Great North Run before, this was very different. I can't fault anything about the race. The organisation was good, there were marshalls where there needed to be to tell you where to go and plenty of water and sponges. It was strange to run on roads with hardly any traffic and the runners very spread out, a bit like a training run really in that you were very much on your own. The course is challenging to say the least, a nice steady opening to just after 3 miles, then a steep incline up to about 7 where you go off road and down a slippy path through woods and fields to about 8.5. There's a steep hill at 9, then the last, killer hill from about 11 to 12, with a nice downhill after that straight into the show ground for the finish. All in all there's enough scenery to keep you occupied for the 13 miles to take your mind off the hills you go up, will be back in 2010.

In short: First time doing this race and will be back next year. Roads were good and very nice to run on, no major hills but a few challenging inclines, at the start and then around 5 miles. All in all a very good race for all runners

In short: Good race, straight out and back on a flat road. Cars could be a bit dodgy at times when coming out of side roads, but overall was very enjoyable

In short: At the time and especially after 9 miles didn't think so, but looking back would say i did have a good time and was very enjoyable
In full: Was a very long day as was at the start for 8, bags on bus for 9 and waiting for nearly 2 hours to start. But there's no option with 50,000 people. Organisation for so many people was superb and thanks to everyone who was there helping with everything.
Said straight away that wouldn't do it again, but am now looking forward to next year when I might enjoy it a bit more.

In short: My first 10K. Very much enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone, nice to finish in the athletics stadium.
