In short: Thanks to all involved
In full: This was my first attempt at this course and I loved it. The hill at c.8 miles is challenging but not as bad as I had imagined and the wade trough the river was welcome given the improving temperatures.

I would just like to say a big thank you to all of the organisers, marshalls, locals and runners. You made this an excellent event with your enthusiasm, support and welcome

In short: Must train next year
In full: Brilliant race as ever - thanks organisers. Next year I hope to challenge my PB (gained at B'pool in 2009) - curse my dodgy knees !!!!

In short: They make us tough in the North West
In full: Despite a shocking run (poor preparation due to knee injury) and being 3 mins slower than last year, a great race. Camaraderie in plentiful supply due to the snow and supportive marshalls. Thanks to all involved. My only criticism was the goody bags - not as good as last year and the new queuing system to get your medal etc - other than those minor issues, fantastic and i will be be back next year to crack the elusive 1:40 (unless i manage it at Freckleton first!)

In short: A great race
In full: I was only persuaded by a friend to enter this race a couple of days ago (she neglected to mention the hills), though I am glad I did. A lovely race - in spite of that last hill, though winning an age category and being part of the first ladies team more than made up for the aches. I would also like to thank the organisers and marshalls for their support and fellow runners for being so welcoming.

In short: another great event
In full: Despite only matching last year's time (I was hoping to crack 1.40 for the first time) I thoroughly enjoyed today's race. Thanks again to all of the marshalls and I thought the goody-bag was very generous this year

In short: ouch! that final hill hurt
In full: In spite on having a generally shocking race (I blame the Midlands xc race yesterday!!), a beautiful course with fantastic, supportive marshalls throughout. Thanks to all at Amazing Feet

In short: Why won't the mud come off?
In full: In spite of the cold start, a great event made all the more enjoyable by friendly runners and beautiful scenery. 2 hot baths later and i'm still finding that darned mud!

In short: Great race, shame about the gale force wind!
In full: I would just like to add my thanks to Brian and all of the locals who gamely came out to support us today in spite of pretty terrible weather.
I cannot recommend this race highly enough for the sheer organization and support.
I would also just like to say a big thank you to the gentleman (no 700) who ran with me for the majority of the course and kept me going- i'll have you next year! :-)
