In short: Despite awful weather blotting out the beautiful scenery and a few killer hills the fantastic organisation made this run a winner!
In full: Didn't have a great run but despite this will look back on this event as one of the best. Very well organised, well signposted, encouraging marshalls, and gallons of tea and big cakes at the finish! All this for a fiver - who cares if you don't get yet another medal to stick in the drawer or a championchip time! Take note Big events - learn from the organisation and value for money of this local event! Came away from the day with a warm glow!

In short: Great race
In full: Well organised with great support from the marshalls. Nice course with a couple of challenging hills. Great to get a t-shirt at the end that fits small people! Glad to see the posh portaloos there as usual!

In short: What a race - fantastic!
In full: Firm but fair - beautiful scenery, tough hills, great organisation and great support from the marshalls and spectators along the way. Was warned it got tough at 19 miles onwards but nobody mentioned there is hardly an inch of flat before then! Absolutely loved it - really pleased with my time - great personal challenge - makes me wonder why I ever wanted to do a road marathon - definitely do it again.

In short: Great day - despite heat did a PB, beautiful scenery along coast to Crammond, thanks to marshalls for plenty of drink stations and support from the locals. Needs better map of course beforehand.
In full: Picked this one convinced it wouldn't be hot in Scotland in June! Great marathon - has potential to be big one if organisation. Relay race entries probably help keep the event going at the moment, but if it becomes a major marathon then both can't happen at the same time as it would be too crowded. Loved the stretch along the coast with the slight sea breeze. Bit boring through the industrial estate at Leith but was offset by a beautiful finish.
Better map of the course is needed with mile markers/public transport (like the FLM) to help spectators who don't know the area to know where to stand - my partner missed me several times! Agree a few bands would help keep the spirits up.
Despite few minor grumbles thanks for the good organisation.
