In short: As usual, it lived up to its high standards. They even managed to sort out the weather in the end :-)

In short: A bit pricey and a bit dis-organised, but has the potential to be a really good race.
In full: I agree with carrot top on the whole. I did hear the briefing OK but not the start. Apparently someone moved the offending sign which sent us all down the wrong path, but the closest marshal wasnt much help. Having said that I quite enjoyed this and looked on the ice as a challenge. Also on the plus side I won a prize because very few people stayed to pick up their prizes.

In short: Very enjoyable and great value for money. Organisation was excellent, the late bus arrival being only a minor irritation.

In short: They just get better.....A glorious day in the autumn sunshine.
In full: This is a very hard race, even though its the shortest of the trail races. You get to the bottom of one hill and another appears. Great veiw of the valley & lake as you top out on the 3rd last hill, but you have to watch where your feet are going most of the time. Glad it wasnt last week-end:-)

In short: Hot n Hard. A tough one, but great week-end due to the excellent organisation & good company.
In full: Yes those extra miles made a lot of difference.
I might make a plea for an extra water station if its as hot next year.

In short: Thought this was quite good all round. Yes the start & finish had problems but nothing major.
In full: All the problems mentioned are quite minor and if the organisers listen to feedback should be rectified quite easily for next year.
I think the two major issues were the poor Expo and steep cost.
Another minor complaint. Information for spectators getting around and to the finish seemed poor. My wife had trouble finding out how to get to the finish as even the transport people didnt seem to have any details. (i think this may have been down to the different bus companies - lothian & first bus)
