In short: Fantastic race - I'll be back
In full: Undulating and challenging in good countryside with great marshalling and top facillities. Even had laid on tractors to pull people out of the muddy car park, that as almost as much fun as the race. Top job, thank you to all involved for putting on such a great event.

In short: Fantastic race, great challenging route, top organisation
In full: Wow, what a difference three years makes! They fixed the route, introduced chip timing and pens and what a finish. Lovely sprint to the line with crowds either side, processing by chip removers, medal givers and fruit girls rounded off a great race. Massage and weather were spot on too!!!!!

In short: Too hot, why change the route again and worse organisation than prior years
In full: 1) Why did they change the course? I downloaded the map 2 weeks before and it showed the 2007 course, which was fine. How many times can they change it - every year? Annoyed me as I ran the course before the event.
2) I was told by one of the gazillion marshals that there was water at the bottom of the hill. I got to the bottom of the hill and was REFUSED water as i was going the "wrong way". On a very hot day how to annoy a runner is to tell him he can't have water.
This was once one of my top runs, going down the list fast.

In short: Weather seems to always be hot ont his one, regardless of the forecast. Top race, well organised and good family day.
In full: Running in the shade of the trees helped keep the heat at bay and there were plenty of well needed water stations, well manned and stocked. Slightly annoying to catch the walkers (esp. those walking two side by side). But hey, I'll be back next year!

In short: What a hot day! Lovely off road course that contained a few hills and muddy bits just for good measure. Top day out for the family and it so nice to see the 2k start 1hour before the 10K so I could see my son do the 2k before doing the 10k.

In short: Picture postcard stuff, what running in England is all about
In full: For a first time event this was pretty good - sort out the golfers and start at the bottom of the avenue to spread out the field before the bottleneck and this will be a winning event. I ran the route three weeks before and was really worried about how tight some of it would be, but on the day most of it was fine. I went off at the front with the leaders, so missed the bottlenecks....
