In short: Pleasant course - pity about the weather fantastic marshalls
In full: This years race was challenging due to the attrocious weather conditions. However the marshalls were fantastic I didn't pass one that didn't offer encouragement. The course is set around the quiet villages and broads of Norfolk and in good weather is as scenic as anywhere. Mildly challenging so any chance of a PB will indicate how training is really going.

In short: A good pre London outing. Will tell you if your training is going to plan.
In full: A course around quiet country roads. Mildly challenging enough to test your stamina for London. Very open in places so there is no respite from the weather. Big thanks to the marshalls this year who had to stand out in the strong winds this year. A well organised and run event.

In short: Not the race for a PB but one you must consider if you are in the FLM
In full: A challenging run but worth the experience for anybody who considers themselves a serious runner. They mention the hills at 9 and 18 miles, but the smaller ones in between sap your energy just as much. This is a must event for anybody successful for the London Marathon.

In short: This is a must for marathon runners 2 laps to test the best!
In full: Well done Bungay Black Dogs for a well organise and friendly race. The course is challenging 2 laps with a series of hills between 2 and 6 which are repeated at 15 and 19. You will certainly know about them on the second lap. Weather this year was kinder than expected some headwinds, but not as bad as the weatherman hsd reported. The Sun was quite qarm when out of the wind resulting in the first touches of sunburn. Plenty of water and sponge stations well manned and always ready. Marshall were excellent throughout friendly and encouraging. At the end one of the best momentoes ever a crystal block with a laser cut "Black Dog" plus an event embroidered towel.

In short: Well organised and friendly not a pb course.
In full: This is a well organised and friendly event. The course is full of great scenery and you also pass Woodeforde's brewery (Home of Wherry bitter). Just the place to visit after you have completed this nicely challenging course. If you get a pb here your training is going well.

In short: Great prep run for London not overly taxing if your trainings going OK!
In full: A good run for London. The route isn't too taxing, but there are a few climbs that can catch out the over eager. This is a race to try out your race pace and see if your are wanting. It gives plenty of time to get it right for London.Beware the mix of 10 mile and twenty mile runners, you can get carried away. There is a tendency to pick up the pace as you work past the slower 10 milers. If you do you will pay for it later (I know from experience - twice. I never learn). Ample drinks stations and good friendly marshalls make this a must do run.

In short: Testing course ideal sharpener for FLM
In full: If wet the start and finish can be rather sticky on the grass, but the rest of the run is on quiet country roads.2 Challenging hills at 9 and 18 miles makes a PB difficult. Organisation was excellent facilities good for the setting.

In short: A well organised event great for experienced or beginner. A credit to Bungay Black Dog AC.
In full: Excellent marshalling from start to finish - you won't get lost. Excellent km markings you can't miss. Well organised drinks at 5, 10 & 15km. Sharp hill at 1km and 19km makes this an interesting race! Quite exposed so it can be cold if windy so wear gloves. At the end a welcoming cup of soup and a great beer - oh and a medal - what more can you want?
