In short: Good and bad organisation. But post race shivering & minimal scenery left a bad taste.
In full: Pros:

1. Great support throughout the race.
2. Superbly run drinks stations.
3. Thumbs up for going ahead considering the weather.

Cons:

1. Finish line confusion. Did a sprint finish and then realised the finish line was another 100m away.
2. Poor post-race assistance for the cold. Foil wrap or hot showers a must.
3. Poor goodie bag - I've had a better goodie bag from a 5 k race.

I was lucky to be parked near the race start in Asda's car park & my g/f nearby with a change of clothes. My heart goes out to the runners who had to wait for their bags & travel miles to their car from the finish in the wet, freezing cold weather.

In short: Promised staggered starts never materialised. Resulted in lots of congestion for the first couple of km. Plus dangeous as one side of the path had no boundary to a serious drop into the river. But course was flat and encouraged a sprint finish.

In short: Been there done that, got the t-shirt
In full: This was my 3rd visit to this race and it was also the first 10k "race" I did which give it some special meaning to me.

It has a welcoming atmosphere which is illustrated by such a wide scope of abilities.

I am surprised that the organisers haven't got round to providing chips as it always takes a few minutes of shuffling just to get to the start line.

And what's going on with the goody bag? They were invisible again. But I liked the t-shirt which is a worthy replacement for a medal.

For these reasons I don't think I will be coming back again but thanks for the memories!

In short: Nice park and supportive spectators. That guy with the megaphone at the start was having a mare - bless.

In short: Undulating is an understatement. Good organisation, medal and goody bag. But when will the results be available?!?

In short: My first race and I loved it. But I couldn't hear anything that was being said over the loudspeaker at the start and just followed the herd when it started to migrate away from the start line. Still great marshalls. Defo do it next year.
