In short: Yet again a faultlessly organised Nick Beer 10k. In full: I'm amazed that I can enter this on the day, while other perfectly decent but not exceptional (flat) races are full weeks in advance. This is probably the most scenic 10k in the world. OK, it's a bit tough, but for all but the least hardy it is runnable all the way round, brilliantly organised & well supported. Who runs PB's in the winter ayway? There is lots to keep supporters of all ages occupied as it starts finishes on the promenade of a seaside resort. Because February is very low season in Noth Wales, can be made into a great cheap winter weekend away. 10/10. Date of review: February 8, 2009

In short: A local said to me before the start "HAVEN'T THEY CANCELLED IT? I'VE NEVER SEEN IT THIS BAD IN SIXTY YEARS" Cheers, pal. In full: My first ever organized running event, so at least one competitor made a PB! A highly satisfying day out, Are all 10k's this hard? The pile of lightweights being physically blown into the gutter by a strong gust at the highest point was an unusual sight. Date of review: February 13, 2005
