In short: Great friendly local race, Recommended
In full: The weather this year was warm and sunny. The route is undulating with a climb starting after 1 km that goes on a till the 4th km. Fast run into Penicuik but a wee sting in the tale before finishing in a local park. Very friendly local race in the best sense. Great spread afterwards, quick results and a great prize-giving. What else could you want! Thanks to Penicuik Harriers for all their efforts. Recommended.

In full: My second time at this event. Weather was warm and sunny this year. Hilly route but doesn't pretend to be anything else. Very friendly and welcoming event. Well organised. Thanks to Perth Road Runners for a great day out.

In short: As allways, an excellent friendly race. Thanks to all at Lasswade AC for a great day out.
In full: Excellent weather. Again, the well organised route, clear instructions and directions along with good quality food at the end were up to the usual exemplary standards. A must-do early race, testing but fun. Thanks to all at Lasswade Athletic Club for such a well organised, friendly and welcoming event. See you next year.

In short: Good, different race. Hope it's run again
In full: A small scale marathon which did what it said it would. Dundee scenery was surprisingly varied and scenic. Friendly support, great marshals - hope they do it again. Highly recomended

In short: Excellent - thanks Glasgow
In full: Good run, brilliant support. Not convinced about the revised first section but the city, parks and people are well worth it. Don't be put off by the size - very welcoming - recommended

In short: Excellent race, hope they do it again. Thanks to all at SRAC.
In full: By Jove, this was a bit breezy and humply! An excellent race; very well organised and friendly. Unique start at the Callanish Standing Stone before following the coast for a few miles and then crossing the island climbing steadily to mile 18 over scenic moorland with lochs and distant mountains before descending into Stornoway via the scenic, wooded, Castle Grounds. The weather was lovely and sunny but with a persistent headwind for most of the race. Good T-shirt and excellent trophy with buses to the start, water stops roughly every three miles and gels at 16 and 20, made this excellent value for money. Marshals (including Army Cadets) were very friendly and did an excellent job. This race is meant to be a one-of but if it’s on again, don’t miss it. Thanks to all at SRAC for an excellent race and a great day.

In short: Excellent Race - Well organised. Thanks to all concerned
In full: My first time doing this run and did my 2nd best Half marathon time. Entered on day - no problem. Weather kind but not always so I believe. Not as flat as you may expect but very steady. Well organised and friendly. Good tea and cakes at finish. Nice Towel memento. Many thanks to Kinross Road Runners - Cheers.

In short: Brilliant!
In full: Took part in the 2008 running of the Heaven and Hell Half Marathon, so called because of the ascends to heaven and the descends to hell reflecting the challenging course. The run takes in a number of long steep climbs, including one of 400 feet and one of 700 feet, with corresponding steep descents. Not an easy course but scenic, very rewarding and enjoyable. There was an excellent finish spread awaiting everyone in the hall - sandwiches, cakes, tea, coffee etc. Best I've seen. Goody bag included a Heaven and Hell bag, water, wafer, banana and crisps. No medal or t-shirt but for the money and especially the food, can't complain at all. Great sense of achievement on finishing. Given the terrain, very happy with my time but more importantly being involved in such a good natured and well organised run. If you haven’t done it before, put it in your calendar now for next year Recommended - Thanks to Perth Road Runners for an excellent event.
