In short: A really lovely race - both atmosphere and scenery
In full: Altogether a fantastic weekend and a great race. I think what makes this race so good apart from the organisation and natural beauty along the course is the fact that it starts at 11am so you can have a nice leisurely breakfast without having to get out of bed at daft o'clock to scoff your porridge. You're finished in time for lunch (a very late lunch in my case!) and can then enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a few drinks on Saturday night. I'll definitely be back again next year. Thanks!

In short: Perfect weather for it
In full: Could do with more toilets at the start. I missed the start by a couple of minutes due to toilet queues. But a nice day out. REALLY bored of the mugs now though - can you think of something different for the next race please?!

In short: Thank you marshalls for standing in the rain all morning!
In full: I ended up doing 15 rather than 21 purely because I would have been too cold and wet to be out for another hour but as ever it was a great event. Just a shame we couldn't have had a dry / warmer day.

In short: Great support throughout
In full: The start felt a bit cluttered with people pushing in and the first 2 miles were spent weaving through people who probably could've started a bit further back. The course isn't pretty but the support makes up for that. I finished in 2:10 which I don't think is too bad and there was no lucozade left at the second station and the poor jelly babies were just being stamped into the floor with non left for us! Great stadium finish makes up for very dull last 2 miles.

In short: A great race - thank you
In full: I enjoyed this last year so came back for more and wasn't disappointed. Another PB on the lovely flat course, beautiful sunshine (almost too hot in the closing miles!) and a friendly atmosphere. Definitely be back next year - who knows, maybe 3 PBs in a row?!

In short: Great organisation - thanks
In full: Wasn't my day and had an awful run (walk!) which wasn't so nice along main roads. But the organisation and facilities at this event definitely make up for it.

In short: Great fun, even in the rain.
In full: I did this one last year on a beautiful clear winters today and I certainly enjoyed that more that running in miserable cold rain today. But it was still great fun, marshalls were cheery and pretty well organised. My kids love it!

In short: Knock that one of the list ....
In full: ..... but wouldn't do it again! Probably doesn't help that we did it on Sunday in terrible conditions. My shoulders are far stiffer than my legs just from shivering! Fantastic marshalls, good t-shirt and a good laugh but quite happy to say "been there done that and got the t-shirt".

In short: Brings new meaning to the word 'undulating'!
In full: I arrived in Cornwall the day before for a holiday and what a way to begin! 13.1 miles of uphill - or that's how it felt! These Cornish are made of tough stuff. The woman on the registration desk told me 'this is one of the toughtest half marathons around' - well in my mind she wasn't wrong! But it was great. I had a lovely day out and enjoyed a very relaxed run (and lots of walking having given up on anything near a PB by 4 miles) in the sun. Very friendly bunch. Would do it again if I happened to be down on hols but next time I would get in some serious hill training beforehand!!

In short: Great way to spend a rainy Sunday morning
In full: Home ground definitely makes a difference but this was a really enjoyable race and I managed a PB in spite of the mud. Thanks to all the marshalls and organisers for braving the elements!
