In short: Standards slipped again
In full: This is the 5th time I've run here and sadly standards slip a little each year. The queue for the car park started earlier, the time boards arrived at the start later and the water station signs gave almost no notice. The water station organisation was shambolic at times with no water, not even any cups ready on a couple of occasions. The scenery always makes this a nice race, but I hope the niggles don't become something more serious.

In short: Organisation poor compared to other years but scenery still wonderful
In full: They've previously set their standards high but I found the organisation a bit of a mess. Arrived an hour from the start queued for about 1/2 mile on the main road to find the car park was closed as it was 'full'. It was, but due to the style of parking rather than the number of cars. They moved everybody to the start but with a few minutes to go all the pace markers were being held by one person. I'm not sure if there were any water station signs but I didn't see any and missed the first two. One was water and sponges, I didn't realise and ran towards the end of the station to find there were only sponges.
On the plus side, a lovely day and a challenging race. Still one of my favourites. Hopefully back to it's best next year.

In short: Great race and got the weather right this year.
In full: This is my home race and the route is one of my favourite places to run. Only minor niggle is water in cups, although somebody would have to pay a lot more if there were bottles and that would be us via the entry fee which is currently great value. Main niggle was no signs warning of a water station, that said I didn't want a drink any way!

In short: Good race despite the weather
In full: Does exactly as it says on the tin. A really well organised, largely traffic free race. Only a little hill, which I wasn't expecting but didn't cause any problems and definite PB potential. I always seem to run 10ks in searing heat or lashing wind and rain. This was the latter but I'd still do it again. Well done and thanks to all involved.

In short: Fantastic
In full: I say the same thing every year. This is a great race, my favourite in fact. The organisation is brilliant as are the marshalls (thanks by the way). The weather is always perfect when I do this race and I always PB. What else do you need. Well done and congratulations to the organisers...you did it again.

In short: Fabulous organisation, Fabulous race.
In full: Really underestimated the impact the hills would have after 20 miles. Any chance of smoothing them out for next year?

The weather was lovely, the marshals were fantastic as ever (Such a great job managing the traffic). My first marathon outside London and I hurt all over, still managed a PB. I'll be back

In short: Nice race shame about the start time
In full: I really do like this race. The organisation and the race are great the scenery is lovely, and it is consistently my favourite of the year, but the 2pm start is a nightmare. I was hoping for a PB and the rain predicted two days ago meant that I was hopeful, but today was glorious (admittedly that's one of the main reasons I like living here) and it was just too hot. I've never stopped for water on a 10k before, today I stopped twice. Well done to all those involved with the organisation but how about that rain?

In short: Nice race, despite the best efforts of the elements.
In full: Well organised, friendly race. The weather took the edge off (How can wind always be in your face?) But still scraped a PB. Would definitely do this again.

In short: Awful organisation
In full: @#%$£! Awful Organisation

Sadly the worst organised race I've ever attended. The nice scenery and the spectacular finished were just ruined by everything else. To start, no suggestion on travel or parking in the event booklet, having to queue through the stadium after having had a wee with the hundreds of other runners dropping off bags. I wasn't but had to follow their 'one-way system'and wasn't allowed out. Then in no particular order: No pens at the start, Hidden mile markers (only saw one at 6 and it was way up a tree, no warning of water station, warning of lucozade station which turned up about a mile later, narrow, cobbles and cones do not a barrier make. There is more but it's depressing me to think about it.

In short: Perfect (Except the start time)
In full: Great course, well organised, great value, too hot. (My PB potential rating is based on the course not including the 2pm start time and the heat).

Would definitely do it again, but please make it an earlier start. the sun was lovely but I'd rather be in the sea when it's that hot, not running alongside it!
