In short: Cheesy PB'sy
In full: Great cheese again, looking forward to it on the Christmas day menu! As said before very slippery in places but still got a PB that made up for last weeks poor show in the Preston 10. Schedule starts for FLM today so hope to be back next year in good shape for another PB. Thanks to all the excellent marshalls, it was cold enough running, wouldn't have wanted to be standing around too long in those conditions. Thanks!

In short: Flat ,fast , friendly, fab,
In full: Left watch at home (by mistake!), started off too slowly then caught a group running at my pace but overdid it & suffered the last 2 miles. One of the worst races I've done, personally, but a great atmosphere with a friendly bunch of northerners!. The course is flat with PB potential, I missed out on mine by 9 seconds. Will be back at Guys 10 in three weeks with my watch on, PB watch out!

In short: Flat course through woodland & countryside.
In full: Blackpudlians are getting fitter. Beat my time from last year but was further down the results list. Great course & organisation, nice tee & friendly atmosphere.

In short: Suprt quick.
In full: Well organised event, despite the confusion at the start. Really fast course especially in perfect running conditions. Didn't get the great views over the lakeland summits, but a PB made up for that. Cheers to Ron & the team.

In short: Great event, pity it may be the last.
In full: Perfect weather, well marshalled (no messing about here!). Organisation went out of the window with a first come, first served operation, however this worked magnificently, I found myself struggling to keep up with 2 "slower" lady swimmers. The chip timing was a bit fraught, a freind lost hers in the pool, but overall seemed to have worked well, might be commenting too soon as the results are not published till tomorrow! A very enjoyable event that will be sadly missed if the closure of the St Annes pool goes ahead. Possibly a sea swim next year?!!

In short: Hot!
In full: Great race, superb atmosphere all the way, more noise than Bloomfield road at the end!! Plenty of drink stations & an orange & banana pit stop. I've been doing this one since 2001 & I think this year has been the best so far. Also got a PB.

In short: 2007 Much better 2nd time around.
In full: Did this last year (2006)(the 1/2)) nearly put my light out! This year (2007) I've discovered fell running & what a difference.
Cruised the first big hill at Chapel Style, eased the down hill part, dug in for the ups & walked the big hill at the end, fast walking is as quick as running & keeps the energy up for the tricky bit at the top & the long, long finish straight. Smashed last years time & also an early season flat 1/2. Nearly got my 1/2 PB. Amazing.
If you are going to do this I would strongly reccommend hill running but a fell run once a week is great for the spirit & the time.

In short: Great race.
In full: Perfect weather conditions, torrential rain pre race (my son got soaked on his paper round!) eased to fine drizzle. Couldn't feel my toes after water section at 7 miles. Big thanks to Jennifer & Richard who dragged me to a PB. Lancashire cheese will be on the Christmas menu.

In short: Friendly bunch of runners, well organised event.
In full: A real buzz about this run. A short enough distance to give it a go. A well organised, friendly event with a mix of quality & fun runners. A bit too much of the course follows a dual carridge way, however the remainder is flat & scenic. Will definately be back next year.
