In short: Hardest half I ever done.
In full: When I heard there was only 300 runners I thought it was going to be a small event. The people from Oldham made a massive effort and put on a great show, there seemed more marshalls than runners. I really enjoyed the route. A very friendly race, but as hard as it gets.

In short: I felt there were a lot of good points, but some real bad ones.
In full: First its not the organisers fault about the weather,I have ran a lot of races and that was about as bad as it gets.Drinks and gels etc fantastic. The pulic support was great you wont get much better than that in such bad conditions. The course was good apart from the bit through Dunham Massey (far to muddy and wet). The steps at the end were not a major problem.
BAGGAGE TENT SHOCKING. Where were the army cadetts at the end. Why was there loads of bags outside the tent, why did I have to wait for a hour in the freezing rain shivering for my bag, who is responsable for my missing running jacket. It stated bag storage on the web site I might as well left it on the grass myself.

In short: really enjoyed the course
In full: I would say this was the best 10k I have done the course was great. Just the right sized field for the event, not to many to slow you down, but enough to keep you going. Good suport all the way excellent. Was the last kilometer marker to long or was it me just knackered? Overall top run well done.

In short: A race of two halfs.
In full: The first half was a little bit boring. The second was more out in the country and more undulating. Overall a good race with a chance of a PB. Well done to all the marshalls thanks.

In short: i really enjoyed the course.
In full: for a small race, it was very well organised, a good course which is surprisingly flattish. just one problem it seemed short of 6 miles and there looked to be room for the extra on the final straight. overall a good run.
