In short: Great fun despite (or because of?) the challenging weather and underfoot conditions
In full: Well marshalled and fun/scenic course. Very good for a first time event and good atmosphere. Somewhat harzardous in places but hey, it was a trail run. Also bit of a trek from the car park to get to the start and then queues for timing chips which held up the start (slightly). Would certainly try again next time (once I've dried out and warmed up..)

In short: V. well organised and a great run to clear away the cobwebs
In full: Certainly a fresh start to the day (0 degrees) but good atmosphere and well marshalled. Reasonably flat but the slope from 7k onwards can be deceptive

In short: A good challenging run. Very friendly atmosphere.
In full: A welcome change from road running and a bit more of a challenge running up (and down)woodland paths and grass. Weather and ground conditions were very favourable - might be a bit trickier sliding down a muddy bank. Well marked/marshalled and a good post race atmosphere. Only gripe was the km marking - we were warned the distances were approximate but the marking on the way our seemed to based on a completely different scale from the way back with the result that km 5 to 6 seemed more like 2 - or maybe that was just my legs playing tricks with my mind. Nonetheless a very enjoyable outing.

In short: Weather held up (better than my legs at 8k) and good atmosphere. Good marshalling and no particular traffic issues

In short: It's Great ( as opposed to good) North (but weather was more southerly) and a Run (definitely not a race for the majority)
