In short: Great event, well organised
In full: As a novice I was worried about this event, but a great beginner friendliness about it, all varieties of abilities. A great event to try a duathlon at.

Nice goodie bag and medal. Great Marshalls, flat course.

The wind was a killer but you cant blame anyone for that.

Will be back next year.

In short: Forth time I have done this and love it every year
In full: Well organised, scenic, great 10km.

Great for beginners as well as fast runners, would recommend.

In short: Great local run as always
In full: Always like this race, very well organised, very scenic route, some playful hills and always a great atmosphere.

Well done to all involved in running it and those that took part, deffinetley be back again next year.

In short: Great setting, great race, fantastic marshalls
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed this race, very relaxed friendly atmosphere, great encouraging marshalls all the way round, nice route, very pleased.

In short: Small pack of runners but a great atmosphere and mix of abilities
In full: A small pack of runners about 100 but a great mix of abilities (I take about 60 mins), great that the ladies are set off 5 mins earlier.

Nice scenery, very well organised, the hills are challenging and long...

Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back next year.

In short: Great Local Run
In full: Have done this before, although this years route was slightly different. Some great hills, up and down.

Well organised (although I do feel the first 1km wasnt right) but a great great race.

Great atmosphere for all abilities.

In short: Great event, much better than the old 'road route'
In full: I wasn't looking forward to laps, but it was great as spectators get to see you and cheer you on.

With regards to the course, nice flat course some great competitors as well to have fun with.

Highly recommended and well organised, will be back next year.

In short: After 4 years of doing it, Dissapointed this year!
In full: Normally I would be sat here raving about how fantastic this event is, I along with a pal have completed it 4 times and look forward to it every New Years Day. 2011 was not a good event for those now at the 'back' of the race.

I would like to start by saying that the marshalls were fantastic and that the pre 'race' organisation was fantastic too.

However the new mass start didnt work for us, unfortunately we are not the fastest of runners, which in previous years didnt matter due to the 'wave' starts, but we were left bringing up the rear with other great runners only to finish to NO nice momentoes that every one else seemed to recieve. As previously mentioned by another 'back' runner the medal and t-shirt will be sent on, but when paying good money for what is normally a very good event I would like to feel I have left with what I have earnt!.

Also because we did take so long we missed the prize giving event, which last year was great fun and really added to the atmosphere.

Not so sure I will enter again next year as feel very dissapointed.
