In short: A really good local race - no frills!
In full: This is just a really good race! Excellent organisatio, fantastic marshalls, and good support all round the course! Nice to see that the entry money goes to the the St Michaels Hospice and is not wasted on needless goody bags. I would highly recomment this run and it is one of my favourite races!

In short: Fantastic organization and wonderful support.
In full: This is a really, really good race. Fantastically well organized, putting many bigger races to shame! Lovely support all round the course and really friendly and supportive volunteers and marshalls. A really good venue for supporters and lovely cakes at the end. Well done to the Oswestry Olympians.

In short: Really poor organization let down what could have been a very good race.
In full: On the plus side I thought the marshalls were excellent and the support from spectators on the course really good and lively.

On the negative side the organization was poor. Delayed start on a cold morning not ideal. But this would have been helped by competitors arriving on time, we generally aim to arrive at least an hour before the start.

No mile markers between 5 and 10 - this is really basic! Poor finish along towpath - I was support running with a friend who is blind and this section was really difficult and unnecessary.

Poor facilities at the start and finish. Normally I would have brought our children, but I am so glad we didn't. A huge site with nothing for supporters.

This has the potential to be a really good race, but you need to look at how others organise their events - a good example would be Lake Vyrnwy which is fantastically well organised despite its very rural location.

Would like to do this again and hope next year is much better.

In short: A good local race, welcoming and supportive
In full: A thoroughly good local race, very welcoming and supportive. Gently undulating rather than hilly and quite a fast course. Lots of cheerful support all the way round. Traffic not really an issue if you are used to running on country roads - drivers generally patient and supportive. Had a really good day and will be back. Also great for my family to come along and support - good venue.

In short: Hard, very muddy, but a bloody good race.
In full: This is a must do race. A tough half in glorious surroundings. We definately be back next year. Some of us don't need a momento to travel for an excellent race. Well done to Amazing Feet - great welcome and good organization.

In short: Great Race - great location
In full: This is a fantastic race. Friendly and supportive. The forest tracks and the hills made this a really good challenge, but nothing to hairy. A must for 2007.
