In short: Ooh, that was tough - more of a slide than a run, but good 'clean' fun
In full: I recorded my slowest ever time and ended up walking a couple of times in the last mile with v painfil cramp in my thighs. Many thanks to all who gave me encouragement and pats on the back. Fantastic organisation, fantastic marshalls - except the guy who said "Well done, 8 miles done, 3 to go" before we even got to the third water stop. That threw my bearings a bit; I thought the third water stop was about 7 miles. Perhaps one or two mile markers wouldn't go amiss. Maybe they were there and I missed them, I was that kn*ckered! Great race, good atmosphere - I'll be back next year.

In short: Last ran this one in 2005, won't wait so long again - great race!
In full: Fun all the way. Friendly marshals and friendly runners. Polite queues at the kissing gates. Pretty muddy, very wet and windy. Great way to build up an appetite for Sunday lunch. Back next year.

In short: My legs hurt!
In full: Sticky mud, slippery ridges, soft ploughed fields, mid-calf puddles. Fantastic - but I need to train off-road more!

In short: The organiser's logo says "mud, sweat and hills" - that about sums it up.
In full: Second time running this one. Much, much muddier this year, hence almost 5 mins slower. That may also have been down to the larger field (1000 rather than 400) and quite a few 'single file' sections. Nevertheless, a really enjoyable mudlark for a sunday morning. Very tough, very muddy - I'll be back.

In short: I'll be back - in 2007
In full: My first 'terminator' but definately not my last. Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Lots of friendly marshalls. I have 2 suggestions - More toilets and one or two mile markers. Then it would be perfect!

In short: Thoroughly enjoyable local event. Tough climb but great scenery - and all in aid of a really worthwhile charity.
In full: The problems with marshalling in 2004 were definately overcome this year. I never had ny problems with directions even when I lost sight of the runners in front of me! A very nice way to spend Sunday morning.

In short: Well organised, interesting route, FLAT!
In full: My first marathon. I hit a big wall at about 20 miles and struggled until about 23, then I got a second wind and cruised home through Cardiff Castle and the city centre flanked on either side by cheering crowds before dropping down into the millenuim stadium to do a final lap with cheering crowds looking down from the stands, including my kids with their "go dad" banner. I doesn't get much better than that.

In short: Could have been better organised
In full: No instructions sent with number so unclear what to epect on arrival. Pre-race briefing quite long winded while we stood in the cold. Not enough signs or marshalls. HOWEVER, reasonable course, reasonable changing facilities and OK atmosphere.
