In short: Now that was hard In full: Goodness, I did not know there could be so many types of mud.
I am not sure Mud Runner is right more like Mud Slither to my mind but what fun: awesome!!!!!!!!
Special thanks to the marshalls for pulling us out of the deeper swamps: I should think that must have been pretty exhausting.
Really good organisation and (happily) a first aid tent to help with bloodied knees after: not that you would notice until after a visit to the tub of love
Mud fest and then some more: most fun you could have outdoors on a sunday morning

In short: I ache in places I did not know it was possible to ache In full: That will teach me for skipping training sessions
Great morning and one of the best off road races imaginable
Plenty for everyone to enjoy and mud and water never far away
Sheep dip was maybe the only thing that did not quite live up to expectation
But really good fun, friendly marshalls, and a deeply poignant two minutes silence.
We must never forget the sacrifice of others, who lost their lives so we our free and can charge around the Gloucestershire countryside covered in crap
Roll on 2012

In short: Shame we did not run through the meadows to Avoncliffe .... In full: ...as the field did not really have time to get spread before we got to the first stile and there were more hold ups before the A36 was reached than in past years
Very enjoyable and the most local race for me, which allows me to warm up by walking to the start
Zammo there were showers and changing rooms, they were clearly marked Date of review: November 7, 2010

In short: Will a walker please come on this forum In full: and explain the point of starting in the sub 2 hour pen and walking holding arms with three others in the middle of the road Apart from these selfish people, who obviously would get a rebate if brains were taxed, this was good fun Mile markers: were there any. Route much nicer than last time but the last mile was a bit cruel. How much further up this road do I have to run I wondered. Also crowd seemed a bit quieter than previous years Oh and it takes a very special type of person to block the entrance to the start line and then moan when asked to move Will be back Date of review: October 17, 2010

In short: 10/10 for the 10/10/10 10 In full: I wanted to come 100th, but came 99th: damn !! Excellent and well organised Super course and very friendly Would definately return if it takes place next year 9/10/11 would have to be the start time I guess !!! Date of review: October 11, 2010

In short: Hard work but loads of fun In full: Feels more like a half marathon than 7 and a bit miles, and that is on a day when the ground was reasonably dry for the area
Nice local race which deserves more support and a larger entry: did not help this year that it clashed with the Weston super Mare event
Interesting course, flat but difficult terrain with a hill half way round
Will certainly do it again, and thanks to Tina and all the people at Yeovil RC (and anyone else) who give of their time to ensure we go the right way
Can't see there were any problems booking in really, so I had to go from one desk to another to get my number but it is hardly an issue

In short: Well that was a challenge In full: As an overweight large person who will not see 58 again I was more than a bit alarmed to see so many fit young athletes warming up
Still mud, sand and water is a great leveller and this was great fun. Would recommend to anyone who prefers X country to road running
Lovely variety of mud and the rain (and mini tornado) just made it more playful
Hoping to be clean by a week next Thursday

In short: Always feels like its all up hill In full: I always enjoy this race but I also always feel that I am spending most of the time running uphill
I think it is because 4 of the first 5km are ascending and the downhill bits are steep and quick
Extremely well organised, Bath half marathon organisers do worse than speak to CRC about how to put on a good and well run event
Will be back: thanks to all at CRC and everyone else involved Date of review: April 19, 2009

In short: My local half but never again for me In full: Paying £32 to enter I would have expected to start on time, especially after the farce last year
Every other race I have ever entered started at the published time so it cannot be that bloody difficult
Did not see a mile marker until mile 8, perhaps I spent too much time dodging the large plastic bins pushed into the road
And the stewards: one told me where it would be possible to meet my wife after only for her to be told at the end that she could not go there (but not WHY)
Arrogant headless moronic pillock at the main gate to the rec should stick to being a night club bouncer
Forget it Mr Race Director: I'll take my hard earned cash elsewhere next year Date of review: March 15, 2009
