In short: Good Run, good organisation in the main, great atmosphere In full: Really enjoy my local festival of running but need to get some organisation in place for leaving the car park at the Meadows end was chaos this year and not fair on local residents Date of review: September 22, 2010
In short: leisurely & Friendly Jaunt In full: woke up last Sunday and fancied a run, had received a promo leaflet when supporting my fiance at the Race for Life in nottingham the week before. surprised by the cuteness of the whole village fete backdrop and even more surprised to bump into a chap from school who i hadn't seen for 10 years or more who was visiting the fete from his now native London. was pulled along the first 3 miles in the slipstream of a lady who turned out to be the organiser, my hat off to you Emma, it was a lovely run. In short: Change is sometimes not for the better In full: Have comleted this run twice before and with regret i report my favourite race of the year has slipped down the scales a long way. Found running up the hill at mile two particularly hard psychologically as we previously ran down the same hill at this stage and noted one or two wheelchair competitors along with myself and others struggling with this, crowds in Wollaton good, an annoying american on his cycle did about 6 miles near to myself impeding competitors/fun runners like myself.
big low was the university grounds addition, pointless, no spectators, weaving up and down and getting knowhere, why ????? Date of review: September 11, 2006
In short: steady climb to start, nice easy end ( shame my legs faded in the middle !! In full: Despite the weather which wasn't ideal (however it was mild) the race was scenic the marshalls extremely encouraging to the less able runners like myself, nice atmosphere throughout the race had hoped to go a little quicker but course was undulating for first 5 miles and i had been led to believe it was flat (i will get him back don't worry !)still managed 1:56 and i will come back next year please do not change the course again and i will pace myself a little better, well done Worksop Harriers AC.
