In short: Apologies re blue john!
In full: Just looked in goodie bag again and found the 'blue john' was actually a note pad. Sorry about previous comments (before I get reported)!

In short: Absolutely fantastic - thank you Red Bull
In full: Glorius scenery. Excellent organisation. tremendous VFM: great hoodie, sweat towel, food and drinks at the finish (including alcoholic drinks). Not sure about the blue john, but represents the area, so was a nice touch I suppose. Not for the squeamish though - it's a very tough race.

In short: some good, some bad, please use mile markers in future!!
In full: great route. great marshalls however some improvements needed. was advertised as 9am start but was changed to 8am. no posting of numbers and chips and no mile markers - a major crime in a marathon; runners need to know their distance in a marathon. also had it 1/2 mile short on my garmin. If these could be sorted this would be a good race.

In short: Thanks to the marshalls and everyone at Keighley AC for another excellent event. However ...
In full: I did this race for the second time today and it was every bit as good as I remembered last time. Brilliant route, scenery, marshalls and atmosphere throughout. I have only one gripe. I arrived at 9-50 (10 minutes before the race start)after having allowed plenty of time to arrive early. Their were major roadworks at two villages on the A644 from the M62. Anyone travelling from south of Bradford might have used this route. It would have been helpful for the Committee to check for roadworks and at least put details on the website. I checked the website last night and there was no late information. I hope the committee sees this and puts it right for next year. As I made the start just as 'the gun went' it didn't spoil my experience, but it could so easily have.

In short: Tough race especially after recent rain. Good work by organisers
In full: If like me you mainly do road running this is a tough race. Peat on moors was wet after recent rain making these parts of the race tricky and energy sapping. There were some steep climbs. There is also some beautiful scenery and I can understand why off-roaders love it. The organisers placed plenty of markers, so I didn't need the map. Great tea, soup @ cakes at the end, but showers might be nice (could the school be used?).

In short: Excellent, again
In full: Almost can't fault this. Excellent event. My only one comment to consider would be to add another water station if possible.

In short: Very Good. Gruelling Hills at 9 miles. Best reward for finishing!
In full: Warmer than predicted weather and two or three tough hills (particularly around Ulley) made this a good challenge.
But, cakes, tea and other goodies made it rewarding to get to the finish. Good organisation. Thanks

In short: Marathon - Psychological Torment!
In full: The first 22 miles are all uphill except for a slight downhill section at 21 miles. 4200 ft ascent (nearly 1 mile) according to Garmin and not what the profile suggested. This was still a brilliant event though, well organised, great scenery and good support at accessible points. Well done Matlock.

In short: Great race. Good atmosphere. Several short sharp hills make this unlikely PB potential
In full: Well organised and managed race again (couldn't hear the announcer at the start though). Hills and sunshine made it tough, but lots of support on the course helped. All in all, thanks Sheffield for a great event.
