In short: A well organised race that has grown in size.
In full: This is a good race with the finishing kilometre going past the cathedral and in to the ground s of the castle. There's always a massive crowd of people around there to cheer you on for the last few hundred metres. The council have sorted out the organisation problems of previous years, so it went very well. The only very minor criticisms that I have is that the entry fee is expensive at £18 and the baggage area at the finish was not very secure, as nobody was supervising it. Anyone could have taken anyone elses bag. But apart from that, very good.

In short: A well organised race, with a record 5000 entry.
In full: Only slight moan would be the fact that the official carpark is over a mile from the finish, and the cheeky buggers at the council have the nerve to charge you a quid to park on a grass field. Other than that, brilliant event.

In short: Brilliant race. Top notch!
In full: It was a hot day for running a half marathon, but well worth doing.
This race has such a great atmosphere, with what seems like the whole of Tyneside coming out to cheer us on, with some of them handing out slices of orange and icepops to the runners.
I would recommend this race to all runners. Quite simply the best race in the world!

In short: Once again the organisers have done a tremendous job. Excellent race that keeps on getting a bigger field every year.
