In short: A horrible hill in the first mile of a two lap race, but a surprisingly quick run In full: I think that the only gripe that I would have with event, is the long wait to get results. Date of review: July 19, 2008
In short: Friendly and well worth leaving work early for. In full: Although the Runners World link says no entries on the day, I and a load of friends, did just that. I wish that the Results were available a little quicker, but getting Andy Green's Autograph (pilot of Thrust SSC) made up for that . Date of review: July 15, 2007
In short: The organisation was a Shambles. In full: For the money, this is the worst organised event that I have competed in so far. The organisors should be well and truely ashamed of themselves. The Liverpool Ladies 10K earlier in the year was a much better event than this. That I would do again, but this... NO..!
In short: Liverpool should be proud of itself for this one!!! In full: The course was fairly flat, with few real inclines, and this gave me the opportunity to run at a good pace for me. The crowd were friendly without being a nuisance. Cheers, and claps of encouragement, all the way round. All in all, I seemed to have a smile on my face, most of the way round the course. And when I hit that Finish line, I just couldn't stop grinning for ages. Sefton Park is beautiful, and a great place for a post-race picnic. Oh. And the Medal was about the nicest I've seen so far.
