In short: Very flat and fast. Fenland scenery not too impressive but better than a smoky city! Free Bacon sandwiches!
In full: A very well organised and friendly race. Myself and 2 friends entered this as we needed a 20 mile run as part of FLM training. The organisers were really helpful and let us run 'the loop' twice in order to get the extra miles in. We were of course plum last, but that wasn't the point of the run! They really went out of their way to help us and some marshalls even kept driving to find us to see if we were OK when everyone else had finished. Free bacon butties and tea at the end. Well done and thanks!!!

In short: Nice sunny day, good organisation and a PB as well! Brilliant
In full: A bit windy but still a nice race through pancake flat fenland. Small and friendly and a good race. Thanks to the marshalls as always

In short: Really good enjoyable race, but the hills were tough!
In full: A fantastic race in some lovely countryside. The marshalls and staff were brilliant and a big thank you to all of them for standing outside in the rain for hours. The course was undulating to say the least, but the 30 x km markers came so regularly that mentally it wasn't as hard as a half marathon where mile markers seem to take ages to come around. A special race but the mud rink of a playing field to run around at the end was a bit tough. Also the showers were just a dribble of cold water. Still one of the most enjoyable runs I have done however and would reccomend to anyone who like a challenge and needs GOOD prep for the FLM.
Well done Stamford Striders

In short: Brilliant organisation and well marshalled, but the hills - oh my!!
In full: Very good race in terms of organisation and e-mailed results in my inbox when I got home - well done.
However, keep seeing comments that say good FLM training. Is the FLM going to be in the Himalayas this year?? (Only kidding). The hills WERE tough though especially second time around. I found this harder than the NYC Marathon!

In short: Flat, twisty and horrible scenery
In full: A flat race, but run through a horrid housing estate with no scenery to speak of. Very little water and not too many marshalls either. Not one of the better runs around!

In short: Fantastic!
In full: A brilliant event that was very well organised and executed. Plenty of drinks along the way and a nice flat course for a PB. A little disapointing to do a long 'out and back' on the same road, but this was forgotten when re-entering Bristol centre. The crowds were brilliant and as the roads are a little narrow it feels like the crowds are right on top of you!
A most enjoyable event and will certainly be back here in favour of the Great North Run anytime.

In short: Very good New York Marathon training run
In full: Well organised and a lovely route for some of the way. The only gripe would be that some of the marshalls didn't control the traffic at some junctions even though they were stood watching. Almost got hit by a scooter and got a shrug of the shoulders from the official! Good water and energy drinks stations. A good flat course for quick time. The area gets busy however as you run the second lap and cars are a problem.

In short: Well organised and a lovely route. Well done to everyone.
In full: The day was a pleasure from start to finish. Having only run one half marathon before which was the GNR the previous Sunday, I was a little apprehensive about such a small event. Would I get lost? Would I be last?Would there be enough water? Would there be first aid etc... etc... All my fears were for nothing. It was superbly organised with plenty of marshalls, police and ambulances standing by. The major road junctions were closed as we ran through them and there were plenty of drink stations, each one with sponges too. The course was mostly flat with a few slight hills but nothing major and it passed through rural country lanes for half the way allowing nice views. The last mile or so was down a nice long gentle hill which more than made up for the uphill section the previous mile and a half. I only started distance running this year as training for the New York Marathon (charity entry) and my first experience of a proper race event was the GNR, which was good as a spectacle and to be involved in, but this race was much better as there were only a few hundred entrants and I was able to run at my own pace without tripping over the masses or getting pushed out of the way by others. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and it made my day to finish in 1hr 54mins 20secs which is a PB by almost 10mins from my GNR time. Will certainly do this again.
