In short: I left my heart in the Lakes..
In full: As one of this year's 10in10'ers the main marathon was my 10th outing around the Lake and what a fabulous culmination to a life changing 10 days. The scenery is beautiful and the organisation and atmosphere leaves little to be desired. This truly is a very special race organised by a very special charity. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great day out

In short: "Would you do it again?" - try and stop me!
In full: Absolutely fantastic race. Hard to believe it was the first running of the event. Obviously a lot of work and thought had gone into the organisation and it showed. Few very minor niggles but tbh what race doesn't have the odd niggle? Support around the course (apart from the power station) was fantastic, helped in no small part by the weather - of course that didn't help the runners!

I very much hope this becomes a regular part of the marathon scene.

In short: Even more enjoyable than last year!!
In full: Yes there are niggles - no pens, congestion, slower runners/walkers getting in the way, smaller t-shirts running out early BUT it's still a cracking race in my book. And as a fundraising event that's for ALL runners then it does what it says on the tin! I don't normally travel so far for a 10K but to take part in one of Jane's races I will

In short: Definitely one of my fave races
In full: Will be back and hope to do more justice to what is a cracking little race. Thanks to the organisers and all the supporters for making this a special event.

In short: As good as ever!
In full: Cracking organisation as expected. Nice to see the added water stations - certainly helped to combat the rather unexpected heat. Traffic was as bad as usual but no worse than usual.

In short: Fab race
In full: Thoroughly enjoyable, superbly organised, race. Couple of not so scenic parts (the industrial estate and the drag past the car boot sale) but some lovely villages along the way. Plenty of support and stadium start/finish great. Will definitely do this one again!

In short: Great race
In full: Enjoyed it as much as last year even tho' I was well off my pb. Not the most exciting of courses true but there's plenty of support around the route and the atmosphere esp at the start and finish is great. Only niggle for me this year was that it was a lot hotter than I'm comfortable with - sponges would definitely have been a bonus!

In short: New course - good and bad
In full: The new course definitely has far more potential for a good time and it's far easier to get away from. Shame there are a lot less facilities at East Beach than the sports centre. Friendly marshals, water station at turn point was a bit muddled and having to criss-cross with the runners coming the other way was just barmy. Total chaos after the finish.
