In short: Enjoyable no frills 10k
In full: A really enjoyable run through some interesting and perhaps forgotten parts or Reading. Well organised no frills race with nothing much to complain about although entry fee approaching expensive for a basic 10k. Car parking, start/ finish, toilets etc all very good. Fast course as it is very flat. Marshals in the right places and really encoraging.

In short: Beautiful setting, Tough Course
In full: The setting on the Englefield Estate was perfect, completely traffic free and well marshalled. The course however was extremely challenging, not only because of the numerous undulations, but many of the flatter sections were energy sapping due to the uneven surface and long grass. The organisation was excellent and there was a nice atmosphere. More training required before next year.

In short: Friendly, well organised
In full: As the nearest race to my home and organised by the local club this race is an ideal way to spend a mid week evening. Bracknell Forest Runners put on a really well organised, but reasonably informal race for all levels of runner. It's already earmarked for next year (and an improvement of nearly 30 seconds on last year helps)

In short: Tough course but great organistaion
In full: Having run a couple of tough courses described as undulating, the clues were there in a course described as hilly. Nonetheless great atmosphere at extremely well organised race. Despite the hills, only just outside my PB for 10k trail run. Hope the charity did really well - quite moved by the gentleman just prior to the start of the race.

In short: Fun midweek sport special
In full: This is a well organised, friendly race which makes good use of the splendid surroundings of Swinley Forest. This years course seemed a bit more hilly than previous years, but was none the less great fun. Entered on the day which was very smooth and had plenty of time to make my way to the start. Nice supportive atmosphere amongst the runners. would certainly come again

In short: Excellent .... apart from the dogs
In full: This was a well organised race, on a really scenic course in unseasonally pleasant weather, but why the dogs? There was nothing in the pre race publicity online or anywhere else. Had I known about the dogs my decision whether or not to enter would have been different. Sorry, but trail run or canni-cross, but not both.

In short: Challenging, but well organised and friendly atmosphere
In full: I would echo other people's sentiments that this race is set up for a much bigger field. It is every bit as good as other trail runs in the area - possibly better. I am a relative newcomer to trail running and although I found the course challenging, it wass not impossible. A big thank you to everyone at finch Coasters - they really do deserve more support for this race.

In short: Very enjoyable forest run
In full: Really relaxed event well organised by the local club. The Swinley Forest trails are familiar territory, and although the heavy rain made the course quite wet in places, it was still great fun. As a bonus I managed to improve on the time achieved when I last ran this race in 2007.

In short: Excellent first time event, but no medal
In full: Neither my wife nor I had run a half marathon before, so this was our first experience. Overall it was really good, and the sense of achievement on finishing was enormous. The organisation had everything we expected. However, it would be nice to get a medal to show the disbelievers that we actually did it!

In short: For a first ever race it was most enjoyable
In full: After many years of organising races the time had come to actually run one. Although the forest is familiar territory I really enjoyed my first taste of racing and was pleasantly surprised by my time. Pleased to support a Club that supports my events
