In short: Delighted with my PB - but organisers deserve serious criticism.
In full: Poor and expensive parking, insufficient toilets, inconsiderate water supplies, lousy goody bag (for a Half at £25), cheapest possible T-shirt and no promised medal - all leave a bad feeling about this race. Emails sent via the web site (before and after the race) are not answered. Pleased the charity did so well - but we were taken for a ride. Now horrified to learn that so many chips failed. Next year they'll need to offer a better experience and keep their promises - or halve the entry fee.

In short: Excellent organisation, well-marshalled and clearly-marked course with great atmosphere .
In full: The chilly wind and slightly challenging undulations didn't spoil a really good event. Agree with earlier comment that chip timings would help and might avoid start line bunching. Minor gripe: I couldn't locate any water, etc at the finish. But very well done Stubbington Green and all your supporters.

In short: Superb - highly recommended. First time for me, and it was easily the most enjoyable x-c event of the year.
In full: After a mile, you didn't notice the sleet and freezing wind - the mud, water and 101 other obstacles were totally absorbing. It's a really challenging, satisfying event, which was well-organised, friendly and not too crowded. Three small-ish gripes: not enough loos, no catering (apparently the "van broke down") and no promised socks -but they couldn't spoil an excellent event.

In short: Undulating, pleasant (but boring) run through the trees – all marred by lazy, officious organisers.
In full: After experiencing the Wycombe Half last month and this half today – both for the first time this year – Wycombe wins by miles. As a visitor, who drove well over an hour to these Bucks races, they seem worlds apart. My new PB today didn’t compensate for the lack of care or consideration for runners. It started badly. When I arrived at the Start/Finish location and asked for directions to the Car Park (there are none on the road), one of the organisers/marshals shouted at me sarcastically: “did you read the instructions we sent you?” Finding the Car park (at least a mile away) was entirely by chance. Even in the nearby roads, there were no signs. I can’t believe that a more considerate, conscientious organisation wouldn’t find a way of offering closer parking. The medal’s OK, but offering just water and a Mars bar at the Finish is unimpressive. The two-lap course just reflects the unimaginative, lazy organisation. Wycombe made me feel welcome; Burnham made me feel like a nuisance.

In short: Superb organisation from Mr Frost, as ever, and all his marshals for one of the most friendly events of the year. Enjoyed (?!) the tough, new route..

In short: Magnificent marshals and superb spectators were particularly appreciated in such, grey, wet and cold conditions. Pity about the awful trek to the start, and the tent is too small for the number of runners.

In short: Hard work, made tougher by the very wet conditions and flooding in Salisbury. But rounding a bend, and seeing the cathedral spire in the distance, with just 3 miles to go, made it all worthwhile.
