In short: Friendly village race over undulating paths.
In full: This was a challenging, but fun race. Roads, muddy paths, woods, fields and stiles meant you couldn't be bored. Genuinely undulating; no tough hills, but never properly flat. The odd distance meant running was more important than time, so you coul;d enjoy the countryside scenery.

In short: Fun , friendly ,fairly flat.
In full: A muddy and fun way to spend Sunday morning. The distance meant a guaranteed pb unless you had run this before. The course was well marked and marshalled. The mud was predictable. The scenery made it a very pleasant run. There was a water station at four miles. It would have been more useful later in the race.

In short: Good challenging but fun 10k
In full: The race was well-orgainsed and well-marshalled. I don't understand the complaints. It was hot,but its Summer. There is no need for water for a 10k although its nice; but there was a water atation at 1k and 6k. If you need more than that bring a bottle, its not complicated!

In short: Reasonably fast course well marshalled small field
In full: The cooling rain made this good for runners but poor for spectators so its hard to criticise the lack of support. The course is a good one, lots of helpful marshalls. The numbers are kept low which gives a good local family feel to the start and finish area. PBs are certainly possible.

In short: Well organised, great marshals, support good in patches scenery poor
In full: Undulating is the best description of the course. It is never flat, but there are no real hills. Two very short sharp climbs and every thing else is gently up or down. Apart from a pretty stretch by a river the scenery is dull and modern urban. The numerous underpasses stop it from being a fast course, but PBs are certainly possible. The best thing about this race was the large amount of friendly marshals and the children at the water stations, offering encouragement.
