In short: Fast and flat good for PB or marathon training
In full: Very low key and relaxed race. Fast and flat so ideal for PB or marathon tempo run.

Only gripe. Big signs saying no IPODS etc or DQ. As the race was multiple laps I was overtaking some 5K, 10K and half marathon runners. Signs saying keep to left to allow overtaking on the 1 narrow part of the course. 4 Ladies running abreast blocking the path all with earbuds in or the footballer sized earphones, so oblivious to my and another runners cries of track, on your right etc. When we squeezed by we were called (rhymes with banker)and the DQ rule was ignored.

In short: Very quick course. If you can't do a PB here something has gone horribly wrong!
In full: A few organisation hiccups, the lack of buses to get you to the start was a problem. We ended up driving and saw 2 of the buses parked up by a burger van! Lots of marshalls did a great job at roundabouts etc. Could do with one coming off the roadbridge as I didn't know if I should go right or left. Liked the big clock at the finish, kept me working hard to dip under 36 minutes (by 1 second!)

In short: Very hilly tough course.
In full: Not helped by Marshall telling me it was all downhill to the finish (2 miles out) then faced the last horrible climb.

In short: Nice enough course, bit too much on the road though. Marshalls very friendly but a couple of places weren't clearly marked so people got lost.
In full: The organisers put flour down but instead of a blob an arrow indicating direction would be more helpful, there were at least 3 places where people had to make route 'guesses' including the leading 3 who turned round to me and asked if they were going the right way, I could only answer I was following them! ALOT of confusion at prizegiving the competitors were sorting out the finishing order themselves! If these problems were sorted this could be a very good race with alot more competitors.

In short: Not as flat as I was led to believe! More undulating, virtually traffic free (I saw a couple of cars, bikes and 1 lorry) Well supported and EXCELLENT marshalls.

In short: Got a PB of 3:11:02 despite having to stop for a pee!!
In full: Cross the line within 15 secs of elite but still only managed first mile of 7:20 due to people walking/ puffing along at 10 min place with pen 5 on their numbers.
