In short: What can i say, fanatastic event.
In full: We travelled from West yorkshire for this race and were not disappointed. Well worth the trip, everyone should do this race once. The marshalls and organisation were brilliant. The pipe band at the start was a great touch. It was if the whole of the town and given it their full support. Well done!!!!!!

In short: Tough race for me but don't do many trail races.
In full: found this racr tough but enjoyable, especially the river crossing at the end. If i had one crticism though it would be that there was just a few too many areas which brought ne to a walk/slow jog. however i am told that is what it is all about, plus if i was better i am sure i could have run more...

In short: 2 year and again as enjoyable as the first.
In full: Me and the wife completed all 3 again. We personally enjoy the course and the organisation appears faultless. would recommend to anyone.

In short: Bit of a challenge for us unattahced runners, but well marshalled, lots of encouragement.
In full: Tough course, but i knew that beause i know the area, nice scenery, glad i didn't get lapped. Some really good club veteran runners who show excellent experinece and know just how to pace there own race, a priviledge to compete amongst them (if i can say compete. I ran this with my wife, its the furthest we have run but enjoyed, got a pb!

In short: Good flat course, plenty of water stations, good mix of abilities
In full: Nice and flat which i sometimes find difficult in run of this distance as i live near and train on hills all the time. There are no downhills just to give you a breather. Enjoyed the race only my 2nd half but much quicker than the first. Just remember to get there early as the start is some distance from the changing and registration point.

In short: Excellent race, really enjoyed it. Really well organised well worth the 60 mile drive.
In full: Good course, definitely undulating felt like it was always uphill except for the short bits at the end of the bridge and down to the finish. Well marshalled first class! Able to stay afterwards for food and drink in the bar (i had tea) but you could have had stronger. Great turn out from runners and supporters the weather helped!

In short: Excellent Race, ran all 3 with the wife, well organised, scenic (it is Emmerdale after all) really enjoyed it will be back next year
In full: Nice flat course, nice setting, not been running long and looked froward to running after a hard day at work instead of just weekends. The marshalls and helpers were very encouraging. The first 2 weeks were run in great weather, but even the deluge throughout the the third could not spoil the race. We Only wish we had time to stay for a drink in the pleasant club house afterwards. maybe next year

In short: Found it tough even though the course was flat
In full: Didn't enjoy the race, very little atmosphere, the marshall did their best(tough job). Water would have been helpful. The facilities were good, but could have been made more of......(coffee & snacks) I usually like to stay and watch presentations!!!

In short: Very enjoyable race, good course with a few challenges, only a shame more people did attend as they would have not been disappointed.
In full: Only realised that it was Cheadle Staffs and not Cheshire a couple of days before (my own fault) so had extra travelling, well worth the trip though as the organisiation was good and the course good also. It was cold and sunny. There were some good runners who turned out completing the course in good times. There is certainly enthusiasm for the race from the organisers. Shame that there wasn't a few more competitors
