In short: Not the Edinburgh Marathon In full: All went well, despite the heat.
Agree it's a tour of east Lothian and a bit like calling the old Polytechnic marathon, the London Marathon. The aim of the organisers should be to get it to go through central Edinburgh, then out into the suburbs and return. Not that I'm interested in cheering crowds, but it might help the race profile, but maybe not the speed of the course. You will know when the race has made it as spectators won't be allowed near the start line - not that it was a problem
Else, water, baggage, transport, toilets all OK. Date of review: May 28, 2012

In short: Fantastic race In full: A break in the weather made for a wonderful run. Races don't come any better than this - well apart from the pot holed run in, but don't let that put you off for next year. Date of review: July 17, 2011

In short: Only non-runners would take part in this. In full: At least it's an accurate 10k, but that's about it. OK for fat people, people who haven't trained, joggers with headphones and walkers (25,000). Spend your money on something good instead.I got a freebie in case you're wondering.
