In short: Nice idea but missed a little in the execution... In full: I enjoyed this race - it was well organised, the route was pleasant and I did a PB. However, it was advertised as 'running through London Zoo' which you did technically, but we were well away from any big enclosures so couldn't see any animals. It would be more accurate to describe it as The Regent's Park 10k as most of the race was three laps of some of the park paths. Supporters had to pay £20 to get entry to the Zoo to see the start and finish (no reductions for running supporters) and there was no T-shirt which felt a little cheap when then registration was £30. So although it was a good day out I ended up feeling a little short-changed by the whole event. Date of review: September 17, 2012

In short: I was last, but you do get a bigger pudding as consolation! In full: I was invited to enter by a local who was running, so knew nothing about it until I got there. Thought it was some kind of fun-run with a Christmas Pudding at the end... bit wrong there then. Turned up after doing a night-shift, not having run properly for months, to find all these lean and wiry people running around in sub-zero temperatures in shorts?!? Still, never one to back out of anything I ran the thing- was utter torture particularly the really steep (seemed pretty vertical at the time) hill in the middle. Amazing scenery did help, and there was some nice encouragement from the marshals. Needless to say I came last, but with a massive sense of achievement. Training now, and entering again this year :-) Date of review: July 23, 2010

In short: Lovely route, good atmosphere, shame about the organisation In full: It's lucky the route was really nice, because the organisation was hopeless; started 45 minutes late, route inadequately marked (half the field cut a large corner so didn't run 10k), very few marshals (they were asking for volunteers from the crowd on the day), one tiny water station, half the distance markers just not there etc. etc. The biggest killer was the 9km marker about 1600 metres from the finish!! I wanted to run 10k, and was quite happy to do it for charity (over £300 by the way) but could have done without the minutes silence and aerobic warm up.... I'll go running in Tatton Park again though :-) Date of review: September 24, 2007

In short: Flat & friendly, my 1st 10mile! Just pity to run round nice park on roads, rather than in it! In full: My 1st 10mile in 1.21, was very pleased. Flat and friendly on very sunny day; got quite hot even though realtively early. I just thought it was a shame to spend a lot of time on the roads around the park, rather than running through it!? Very well marshalled. Said goody bags on website here but I didn't get one.... Date of review: August 7, 2005
