In short: Excellent Race
In full: My first time at Worksop Half and it was a great race. It's an undulating course but I like that, there are no steep hills just lots of long gentle climbs that you can speed down on the other side. I managed a 5 minute PB so it's all good. Great technical t-shirt, poor goody bag (leaflets and a 2 finger kit-kat) but for the price it is truely excellent value, I can't complain.

In short: Excellent Race
In full: Ivanhoe Runners did an excellent job organising this. The goody bags and hoody were brilliant. Marshals everywhere and drink stops went like clockwork.

A few have already mentioned the littering but it was a real problem. There were bins everywhere, why weren't people using them more? I used mo

In full: My first time at this race and i'll almost definately be back next year. Chip timing is always a big plus and results were available immediately.

Mostly flat course only a few undulations, it's advertised as "off-road" but don't be fooled it's road shoes all the way. I got a big PB, it's pretty quick.

In short: Great Race
In full: This was my second year at this race, and managed a decent PB, despite not being a typical PB course.

A decent challenging course with plenty of up's and downs.

Well organised as usual, well done Heanor. I'll be back in 2011.

In short: Windsor Half
In full: My first time at this race and after the awful reviews for 2009 I wasn't particuarly looking forward to it.

It's definately undulating but the first half seemed a lot easier/flatter than the second, with miles 8-10 a bit hilly. Thankfuly the last mile is quite quick!!

Not a bad race and i'd recommend it. Overpriced for sure, but these big events always are and you know that before you enter.

In short: Could be so much better
In full: A well organised race however I can't believe they only had 1 water stop, this may be fine in normal weather but in 20+ degree heat this was potentially a bit dangerous for the less experienced runner. 3 laps meant you only got a drink at miles 1, 5 & 9. It wouldn't have been difficult to have set up a second station in these conditions.

I'm not a huge fan of running laps so i'm not sure i'd run this one again because it got a bit tedious for me personally. On the plus side it was perfectly flat and has definate PB potential.
