In short: Worth doing more for the atmosphere and occasions than the 'race'
In full: Start area very well organised, and baggage buses easy to find and well signed. Slow start and a little crowded in places with bottlenecks and stop starts with others stopping without warning and some runners going four abreast, must have covered about 28 miles in all. Support all around magnificent and plenty of sweets/oranges etc on offer from spectators. Water and lucozade plentiful. Meeting area could have been policed better, introduce a one way system perhaps! An event rather than a race for me, but worth doing at least once.

In short: What a crowd!! Brilliant support for a very good race.
In full: My first marathon and running with a broken collar bone. Wirral side of race really good and flat, good atmosphere although initial 45 min delay did upset my hydration plans a bit Hills through the tunnel at 13 miles much steeper than expected and took its toll. After 17 miles pretty flat and great downhill to the finish. Really great enthusiastic crowd, really made the event. Great support made me feel as if I was the winner.

In short: Well Organised, friendly race.
In full: Good race through a country park, with good support and enthusiastic marshalls. Water at half way was an unexpected bonus. Not a great fan on trail's and some areas needed a bit of care when running past people (which did slow me down a bit). First time for organisers and for me all aspects went like clockwork. I liked the memento(cup) and distinctive medal. Weather was perfect as well. Will be back next time.

In short: Big City Feel to a really great half marathon.
In full: Liverpool has arrived! Everything went like clockwork, water stations spot on, crowd were great. The best Liverpool half yet, grandstand at finish very noisy. Well done to everyone connected.

In short: Decent run along the sea front.
In full: Good off road race, challenging due to wind and small inclines.Location fine and use of the hotel a bonus, would have liked an energy bar or drink at the end.

In short: A run in the rain never felt better
In full: Torrential rain throughout,could have made the event a wash out, but the good humour and triumph over adversity spirit, made up for the weather. Another quality T-shirt and medal. Fine course.Well organised.

In short: well worth the trip,
In full: Very well organised, excellent marshalls, decent crowd and nice towel for finishers (beats another medal and T-shirt for me).
