In short: Good day out marred by the traffic In full: A good day out made even better by the plethora of water stations issuing cups and sponges-well done. Only downside was the fiasco of traffic on the way in-caused by inadequate parking stewards and the poor route map. It made sense after running the race but if you're not a local, it's tough to interpret. Especially if you're a spectator. Date of review: June 14, 2010
In short: Toughish hills made tougher in the rain. In full: I would definitly agree with earlier comments in that the marshalls put on a brave effort in torrential rain.
Downside is that the start could have been better, even without the rain there would have been horrendous bottlenecks coming off the track. In addition to that, inadequate toilet facilities made it a race for the line.
On the upside, a testing course which makes a good pre London run out. Special thanks goes to the Race Director who has been honest and sincere enough to take critiscism on the chin and promise to review things for next year.
Final comment is don't worry about the chip timing for next year...it will only add to the cost of a race which currently offers good value for money.
