In short: what a fantastic race
In full: Second time for me and it was better than I recall it from 2 years ago.
Loads of free parking right next to the start, everyone very friendly especially the marshalls - extremly well organised - seamless.
The course is playful with lots of downhills and some go up too ....Beatiful scenery even on a grey day and the finish line is classical ending in the small castle at Ripley.
The T shirt was long sleeved and technical with all sizes available - puts FLM and RNR to shame. The Good bag is famous for content, it would be handy to have wheels on it next time.
This race is tremendous value - dont know how they do it.
Brilliant Nidd Valley RR.
Thanks you and see you next year

In short: Felt like a local race - very friendly and well rganised
In full: They had to change to course because of that Ferry Riverdance which ran aground and they had to do this at short notice - I thought the organisers did a cracking job. It was quite a large race but they made it feel like a small, 'local' and friendly one. Marshalls and stewards were really friendly too as were the other runners at the end.
I have to say that when I arrived I thought that it would be tough because of the wind and cold but the wind only really affected yo on the top exposed bits.
worth doing and see you next year
thanks

In short: Friendly and well organised - graet for brginners and a PB
In full: Got there just before the start - watching Wales v Canada in the Rugby World Cup - rushed to the toilets and stated just after. Great atmosphere , everyone really friendly from runners stewards and spectators.

The course is very flat apart from inclines on the flyovers on the A1 and a small one at the finish so ideal for beginners and a PB.

Great goody bag and masseurs at the end too

I really enjoyed it and will be back agian next year

Yes a great little Yorkshire race

Thanks
Wetherby

cheers
John

In short: great scenery - nice and challenging - for me at least!
In full: undulating - well you could say - a couple of very steep ones up and down and the rest were just hilly!

In short: steep in places and terrain a tad rough across the moors!
In full: really friendly race - fun running across the moor climbing up through the rushes. nasty little hill just before the end - prize of a black sheep bottle of beer in the goody bag - drinking mine now...

In short: why hasn't Milton Keynes got more windnills?
In full: This wasn't as flat as I expected - Blackpool was flatter 2 weeks ago. However it is PB potential and I managed to complete in 1:39:41 according to my Foreunner. I can't believe that the Chip only took the finishing line time - what is the point of that? It would have been much faster if it wasn't for the wind by the lakes - very pretty though.

Big Qs at the informsation desk - payed` for my t shirt up front but the Q was too long to get it - have to e mail them to get it.

Beautiful day though and i found the marshalls to be friendly when thanked, I think that runners should thank them more as they run past.

Finally medal was a bit shiney, would have liked a goodie bag

Thanks MK

In short: just great - the kids were magic - made it very special
In full: the crowds were terrific - made it for me.

Shame about all of the people walking rather than running and not being considerate enough to move over or start further back - not for a PB - getting out of there after the race was the biggest challenge.

In short: Magic, simply Magic! The race to remember for ever!
In full: Just so much fun - we came down from Yorkshire just for this - the kids ran along side too helping the push the trolley of bananas ... the steps were a bugger with the trolley though....

In short: So well organised, fantastic atmosphere, easy to get to, I loved it
In full: parking was great, atmosphere was great the the start, hilly first half but I quite enjoyed it. odd feeling when the half marathoners pelled off leaving a lot less marathoners going right.
Second half was flat, and a long way arpund Holme Pierrepoint. Support was consistently friendly all teh way.

Marshalling and drinks stations were top class - just really excellent.

Free massage after was welcomed.

Good medal, goody bag a bit sparse!
