In short: Perhaps the perfect marathon course
In full: Great scenery, historic city start, picturesque villages, long flat sections through beautiful country and a few inclines for variety... and great finish too back at the race course. Excellent race and a new 11 minute PB!!

In short: The sun came out - as usual!
In full: Warm again as it is every year, but didn't stop a new PB for me! Great run, great value and would recommend it to anyone

In short: Loved it!
In full: I love running in the rain and just as well! Excellent race and despite not being a great fan of laps this was perfect; fast, flat, great support and real Big Race feel. Best 10k I've ever run

In short: The Best Local 10K?
In full: Very good race, nice mix of experienced and beginner runners. Weather meant there was a carnival type atmosphere. Very local to me and the first time I've done it - will be back whatever the weather.

In short: mind the curb
In full: This is a good race for those seeking a quick time. Flat for the most part, small incline at 3 miles but downhill finish - just watch that curb!

In short: Preferred the fog!
In full: Pleasant run with a few surprises. Drink stations were a bit sparse and surely its time for some bottled water at these premium price events. Very warm once the sun came out and the last 2 miles are dull in terms of scenery

In short: Apart from rampaging Highland Cattle, this is a must do race!
In full: A new PB for me! Third time here and loved it more this year than ever - maybe something to do with the milder conditions. Nice even course, mixed surface, few inclines, little or no traffic and good atmosphere. Great to have the fun runs for the children but the Goody Bags after the 10 mile are very empty - a pen and some lip salve - come on you can do better than that!

In short: 3 times lucky at Fleet!
In full: Third PB in a row at Fleet - from 1hr51 in 2006 to 1hr46 this year. Despite the pretty awful conditions I just got on with, as did everyone, and surprised myself with the pace.
The changing marquees were no way big enough this year with everyone sheltering from the rain and perhaps some turf mats at the end would have helped the slippy finish. But, as ever, I really enjoyed the race and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve or for their first Half.

In short: It's worth it for the Horse Brass!
In full: Didn't do this last year but really struggled two years ago in 31 degree heat. This year was much better and despite taking it relatively easy I managed a negative split and a PB!

In short: A quick course with few undulations. Definate PB race, it was for me this year!
In full: A good course with few problem areas. As a beginner who knocked nearly 15 mins off my PB, I would recommend it to anyone trying a half marathon for the first time. A bit bunched up at the start but with 2500 runners you never had the road to yourself. Glorious weather helped although I over dressed I think!
