In short: Not as good as prior years
In full: I think this event is now too big to run without closing the roads. As usual, the participants and the spectators were excellent.. though I think the dense fog may have subdued the banter slightly. Great T Shirt as usual. A shame there was no clock at the finish.

In short: Great MTB course... the run a bit of a slog!
In full: Human Race are great event organisers. The MTB course is fantastic... it suffered from being a bit muddy, but really good fun all the same. The run was slightly less exciting, but still playfully challenging.

In short: Fantastic event - but not for the faint hearted
In full: To start, the race organisation is excellent! Other off road events could really learn from these guys - yes, you pay a little more; but they keep the field small so you don't get stuck in crowds. The course is really tough!
The goodies excellent as well - the T-shirt is ace. Well done Human Race! :)

In short: Fantastic
In full: First time back in St Neots since 2006, and I was reminded what a great race this is. Fantastic marshalls, friendly competitors and a quick course. :)

In short: Superb!!
In full: Take it easier up the hills and cane it back down them and I think you could do a respectable time in this event! It is tough, but the scenery and the friendly marshalls really make it a special event.

Garmin tells me it is about 1500 ft of up and down (not all in one go) which is nearly half a decent lake district peak.

Thanks to the organizers. A great event. Please feel free to save money by not bothering with the medal. A T-shirt is appreciated, but a medal unnecessary.

In short: Well organised for a big race...
In full: Too many runners for me to fully enjoy it, but a good race with a great atmosphere.

Did any of you see the army dudes pulling a landrover? They weren't doing badly either... and for sure weren't last! Good job guys!

In short: Lulled into a false sense of security
In full: For much of the first two miles, the going is good. Downhill. And you forget that what goes down must come up again. You almost don't notice St Marthas when you approach for the first time, decieved into thinking it's a short single track rise. within seconds you are reduced to walking pace with burning calves and aching thighs. This race is tough, but run by a capable, enthusastic crew, excellent atmosphere. And it's at least 11kms! Recommended! :)

In short: Now too many people!
In full: Some nice changes to the course (the end in particular) and the addition of chip timing is a plus. More water than previous also.

However, this race is now a victim of it's own success. There were 700 more runners this year than last year (according to the compere), and it told. Too congested. And the organisers were trying to get people to promote the event for them to make it bigger. Cut it down!
