In short: More Porta Loos would be good for the ladies!!!!!!!!
In full: A cold, windy day 9C with a shower of rain at the start made for a cold bunch of 380 plus runners on the start line. This race always has more hills than you remember but the last three miles trend down hill giving a good finish to all. Many thank to all who worked so hard on the day and to Ripon cricket club.

In short: Everything that is great about trail running.
In full: Gongratulations to Stainland Lions for the best marshalling you will find anywhere. A cold day, 6c with a stiff Yorkshire wind that went through you was a shock to the system at the start. No one was feeling cold at the finish after 2720 ft of ascent and 2741 ft of descent despite the cold river crossing. The sense of achievment reguardless of your time is enough to keep you warm untill summer.

In short: My first fell race at 56 but not my last, a grand day out.
In full: I ran for the first time in March this year. This was the first race. As a 56 year old with one heart attack under my belt it was with trepidation that I stood on the start line. What a great experience. Hats off to the FAT Boys RC for there efforts. I will be back to knock at least 2 mins off my time so I can beat the hour in 09.

In short: A proper fell running day. Heavy rain from start to finish and mud deep enough to pull your trainers off. Thanks to the guy who helped me find mine.
