In short: Fantastic Race! Mad Dog Rules!!
In full: I should have done this race last year but injury put paid to that! This year they have changed the course so there is not such a twisting finish but a fast, flat race in! Due to things out of the organisers control(i.e. council car-parks!) plus the late arrivers, the race was delayed by half an hour, but this was relayed to the runners very quickly. The race itself was brilliant with the drummer band at 4k a real surprise! But for the notorious Southport wind this would have been a PB for me! A great day only spoiled by the weather, agree this would be an amazing summer evening event, but also understand this would be impossible with summer traffic etc. Will be back next year! WOOF! WOOF!

In short: One of the best!!
In full: Simply one of the best trail races around! Ok there's no frills but it's cheap to enter, has slick organisation, and a wonderful out and back course that has just about everything, hills, mud, puddles! What's not to like! Throw in the cheeriest marshals, and you have all you can ask for for £8! Bargain! See you next year!

In short: Nice race again this year!
In full: Good race conditions a bit wet 'n muddy but hey its Jan! One thing irked me a little bit, dispite the fact I entered this race weeks ago I had to shlep up to the pub to pick up my number along with those who left it 'till on the day to decide! Last year it was sent in the post. I think if you commit early you should not have to do this!

In short: A really nice friendy run along canal paths
In full: Given the fact of sabotage along the way, this should not detract from a very enjoyable 10k which I for one hope becomes a regular fixture! The pint and butty at the Ring 'o bells at the end is a very nice touch and is a bargain for the money! I'll deffo be back next time!!

In short: A fine way to spend a Sunday morning!
In full: I do most of my training runs round here 'cos its on my doorstep!Lovely crisp morning bright sunshine. Organisation was excellent by the very friendly Belle Vue Racers, the ground was pretty wet/muddy but all in all a good way to spend a Sunday morning! Just watch out for the killer last hill! Roll on next year!

In short: A worthy race for a very worthy cause!
In full: As has been said, this is avery well organized race with very friendly people/marshalls/spectators and indeed runners! Would benefit from having a map of the course so newbies could grasp the overall picture of the course. Enjoyed myself immensely and will be back!

In short: Multiple laps round a beautiful Victorian park!
In full: I chose this as my first 10k! With a very steep hill to negotiate three times, if you can do a good time here you can do one anywhere!
