In short: New 5 Miler that is off road with a few hills! In full: Great first attempt. Worked like clockwork. Good mix of runners so no need to feel under pressure from faster runners. Course was mainly off road and a few hills with only the start and end on the hard stuff. Unfortunately the sponsorship didn't materialise this year but hopefully this event will grow. Since it is exactly 1 mile from my house I hope it goes from stength to strength! Well done! Date of review: April 2, 2013
In short: Super Organised and a Fast friendly Race In full: As has been said this is a great 10K organised by the same people who week in week out organised the Black Park parkrun.... so runs like clockwork! Cheap to enter and great handouts at the end. One to do every year!! Date of review: September 30, 2012
In short: 4 laps of 5miles: Some undulations but great for a PB In full: The organisation id excellent. The marshalls really keep you going and deserve medals of their own! Some nice downhills followed of course by the uphill. Not too steep and runable! A good challanging 20 miler! Date of review: March 14, 2011
In short: 10 min mile pace..... oh the hills! In full: Was doing so well. At end of first lap found myself in front of the pacer who was struggling running while holding up the sign. Kept going until 9/10 of second lap and had to visit the loo! However rejoined the 11 min pace group and must admit walked up the hill on very stiff legs! Enjoyed this... even when I felt like I had run into a lamppost but it was someone coming the other way who decided to shoulder charge me. Couldn't get out of way as I was unsighted by runner in front who did a very neat sidestep..... unfortunately i was not so graceful!
In short: Freezing water up yer a*se anyone?? In full: Loved this! Did not feel like 8 miles at all as I was laughing and falling in the water so much. A must do... for fun only Date of review: December 4, 2006
