In short: Well marshalled and very enjoyable race
In full: As has already been said start is a problem with the narrow path and slight uphill. Also affected any overtaking towards the finish line. Thought this would be more of a problem affecting my overall time but was over 3 mins faster than Watford 10k the week before. Extremely well marshalled, clearly a race run by runners for runners. Well done and thank you. See you next year.

In short: Best ever
In full: Having run 17 Londons now, this one had the best crowd support ever. The marshalls as always were very supportive. Queues for toilets at the start were unacceptable and the worst I have experienced in 62 marathons all over the world. Runners finishing area, chip removal, medal, goody bag and kit bag retrieval worked very well, but then trying to get to the meet and greet area was spoiled by ignorant supporters who just pushed tired runners out of the way to get to where they wanted to go. I soon realised what kettling meant! Some sort of barrier one way system might help.

In short: Expensive for a cheap tinny medal
In full: Having had 27 yrs experience at organising this race and having run it myself many times I was very disappointed. Some Marshalls not up to the job. 100m after the start they had allowed a car to stop in the middle of the road causing the mass start to side step. After half a mile we had oncoming cars overtaking parked cars forcing the mass start to single/double file. Never expected runners to be stopped by a marshall at a T Junction to allow cars to pass. Even when there was a 100m gap we had to wait for a non emergency Community Support vehicle to pass. After 6 miles we were met by suicidal cyclists screaming down a hill in the middle of the road overtaking slower moving cars. This happened last year and I am sure someone is going to get seriously hurt one day. Very expensive entry fee (no T shirt only a cheap tinny medal). Saw some runners with a goody bag but presume they had run. Not a patch on the Watford Half or Rickmansworth 9 which was better organised and better value for money. Only reason I might do it again is because it is a local race for me.

In short: Better but tougher than old course
In full: Nice rural course which, whilst tougher than old route is more pleasant. This is despite the occasional deep puddle. Well marshalled and very few cars to contend with.

In short: Scenic, hilly and tougher than Watford Half
In full: Paid £2.50 to park in Railway CP. Race start delayed due to queues at toilets (so provide more next year please). Well stewarded but a cycle club travelling in the opposite direction at breakneck speed downhill was scary and some motorists seemed to enjoy forcing their way through the runners. Fantastic support at finish with spectators and runners cheering and clapping. No goody bag or refreshemnts though. Would have preferred coffee mug or T shirt to medal. Stewards did well in helping the traffic out of the area afterwards.

In short: Crowded start and some tight turns
In full: Local authority could spend money an repairing the potholes on many of the paths.
Stewards very friendly and efficient
