In short: A Swift Scenic Saunter Around Trentham Gardens.
In full: Trentham Gardens is an ideal place to hold charity based events such as this, with the superb scenery and fabulous course, 3 x 5k laps which make it an ideal 3 distance event for all abilities. I opted for the 15k as I try to recapture my previous best and it was nice to be passed or pass by the 5k and 10k runners.
Well organised and well run.
If its on next year .... I'm in !!

In short: The Weather didn't dampen our spirits :-)
In full: The worst day imaginable for running, but this is a great course supported by some excellent Marshall's which made this race run as well as the water that was cascading from the clouds.
Thanks South Cheshire Harriers for a great day.

In short: Wish I'd purchased some trail shoes ....
In full: Apart from my lack of trail shoes mainly because I'm too tight to part with my moolah for one race , this race is indeed an excellent end to the years running , some challenging hills and muddy footpaths to tackle but it's all well worth it on a super course !!
Excellently run and marshalled and I'll indeed be back next year.

In short: Upper quality race in Upper Tean
In full: This is a Great race for runners of all abilities the course is fantastic the organisation is exemplary and the goody bag and tech t-shirt knocks spots off many larger events , how could we improve it ?? Beats me because it's great the way it is !!!

In short: Short, Sweet and Superb
In full: This is the 3rd time I've ran this marvelous event , it's nice and short 4 mile course does have a challenging hill climb in it but it is more than compensated by a downhill incline for the 1st mile and a steeper downhill section after about 2.5 miles and a nice flat finish in the park .a medal is always a nice bonus on a shorter race and a nice touch as they read your name out over the tannoy as you near the finish .
Plenty of refreshments at the end and a nutty van and ice cream van there too which makes it easier for spectators to enjoy the day as the others run round.
Well marshaled and well run event no wonder it's been goin 34 years , keep it up and you'll easily make it another 34 !!!
See you all next year !!!

In short: Good potential messed up by Missing Marshall
In full: I really looked forward to this race for some time as Its even more local for me than the Pots and Clayton .
As with first time events you'd expect a minor hitch or two.
Sadly it was the least minor hitch possible as the case of the "missing marshall" caused all but one of the 600+ runners to go the wrong way and thus make the course nearly .75 miles shorter than it should have been , and lets be fair ... if there is one thing that you need to be right on the day its the distance more so than any of the other paraphanelia that needs to be correct.

I'd do it again but I would not want to be sold short again.
